1) I have tried 3 different templates and all of them have problems once I get it going. One showed up on ebay, gigantic and I realize that it must have something to do with html, but I dont know how to fix it before it happens or after its already on ebay. Once its on ebay can I fix it somehow?????
2) I also have one that it is leaving off parts of the template, it leaves off the shipping, contact us and the payment part of the template so I don't have it there to fill it out and make my auctions look nice.
Everysince I have started Auctiva it has been a constant headache, I spend more time trying to figure out what the heck is wrong I dont get too much done. Can someone help me with some of this because I would really like it to work for me, the pics thing is nice and the templates too if they looked nice on my auction but they don't look nice they look like a mess. Half of my page is blank, half of it is nothing but the color red because its so gigantic. Help, help please hurry. Thanks so very much and look forward to a response quickly. Gian

Hi Gian -

I am sorry that you are having trouble! Let's see what we can do to help!

1. Yes, once something is on eBay it can be fixed but first I need to find out what is wrong with your code and then I can tell you how to fix it. Will you send a link or the item number of the listing you are referring to?

2. In order for the shipping, contact us, terms, etc.. areas to show in your template, you need to create a Seller Details profile. It is really easy and once you have a few of them they will save you a lot of time. To create your Seller Details profile do the following:

Go to the Profiles tab --> click the Seller Details link --> you will see a big box and a header above it reading "Payment". You can enter HTML in the box or switch to the design editor which will act like Word and you can enter your text like that. Once you are happy with that section, click the "Next" button at the bottom of the page and that will take you through the rest of the sections (note the headers to tell you which section you are in). Any section that you leave blank will not show in your listing template. When you are done, give it a good name and "Save & Exit". **You can make as many as you want of these profiles. That way you don't have to type this information in for each listing. Just pick the right profile to go with the item you are listing and go!

Now when you list and you choose a template, a section appears to the right of the template on the one-page lister where you can choose your preferred Seller Details profile from a pull down menu. Now you will have all sections show with the information you put into the profile!

When you are having problems or questions, try checking our FAQ section on the help page too. You might find answers to your questions there as well as here Smile

Hope that helps! Send on the link to the posted listing and we will get that one tackled too!

Take care -
Cara
If you could look at these here: 180099630395 missing payment, shipping, about us, a bunch of stuff and look at it its all messed up. The other one is 180099537870 This one is HUGE on the red and I forget what else was wrong. How do I fix this mess. I thought I did try to do the sellers details. Wow I think its kinda frustrating, not as simple as it looks and sounds to me. I am not new to this kind of stuff but it sure seems like alot of going around in circles to me. Thanks for answering and see if we cant fix this up. Gian

Oh yes and when you do revise something to try and fix it how do you fix the things that are missing like payment, contact, about us and all that stuff from the template? I dont see how to do it from the revise at all???????

Hi Gian -

I looked at your code and found a lot of extra stuff that is causing the template to stretch. There are font and paragraph tags for every line of text and codes for non-breaking spaces (& n b s p) that always cause stretching problems for people.

I did a quick pass on the code to make sure it doesnt stretch. It might not have the exact spacing that you want for the text but at least it won't have horizontal scroll Smile

View the code here http://www.practiceboard.com/?5788794. Look at the demo below the code on the page. Grab the code from the top window --> take it to eBay Revise your Item and drop that code in the description.

Hope that helps!
