i havent listed anything on ebay in a while. i just got done with making my listing and did my error check just to make sure everything was fine. i then clicked post to post the listing on ebay like ive done a million times before. im not brand new to auctiva but im not an expert.

i know they have the new plans. they sound great. dont get me wrong, but i dont list enough to need those right now. maybe one day i will be listing so much stuff i will need the plan.

i cant afford the pricing right now. thats why im selling some things laying around the house cuz im broke. need to pay bills and try to get out of debt as much as possible. with the way the world is right now, im trying to make as much money as i can... not spend it.

the question i have is now that auctiva has these pricing plans in place, can free members still post listings on ebay? it keeps kicking me to the page that says...

Oops!
The Plan you're on doesn't allow access to that feature.

UPGRADE your account now to get full access to all of Auctiva's time-and-money saving tools!

For just $2.95/month you get:
* Full Site Access
* Up to 15 Listings per month
* 500 MB image hosting

Or go unlimited for just $9.95/month
* Full Site Access
* Unlimited Listings per month
* 1 GB image hosting

No thanks, go back

does this mean i have to spend $2.95/mo or more to even list with auctiva at all?!

if thats the case, i would rather just battle the confusing lisitng manager with ebay and host my own images. i may be cheap, but i dont list enough to need a plan right now. if i listed a handful of items every day, i would get the unlimited plan without thinking. auctiva is... well, was a great place to list on ebay. everything they have well had for me to use like the templates and the ease of making a listing in faster time than going to thru ebay to list it.

i have so much going on, i dont have to keep looking thru the site. was hoping someone could shed some light on my topic.

thanks again in advanced for ur time and replys in reading my post.

Melissa,

Yes, that is true...there are no 'listing' options available in the free plan.

At a minumum, you would have to select the $2.95 Flat Rate Plan which would give you the 15 listings per month ($.50 for each add't p/month).

Perhaps you could manage that and maybe increase your bid prices by just a tad. It wouldn't take much to pay that but of course you would be committed to a plan. It doesn't take adding much to spread $2.95 out over a number of items.

Keep cleaning and dig out those items! LOL Hopefully you can find enough stuff to make it worth while.

I understand all your reasons for wanting to make money & not spend it but to be honest, this sounds like a perfect plan for you. That is really inexpensive to list. Of course, I know the ebay fees come into play as well.
Think positive and find some more stuff.... Smile

twogirls...

If you are only posting two times a year..then why not sign up for the $9.95 unlimited plan (as many listings as you want...although you may exceed the image hosting limits & have to pay for additional image hosting for that many auctions). I don't know how many images you get for the 1GB. But, I know it's a lot. It's on here somewhere.

Anyway, back to my point..Sign up for the $9.95 and do all your listings. Then cancel the plan at the end of the month...but BEFORE THE NEXT BILLING date. I don't know how long you list your auctions for(days?) or how long?

Then just default back to the Free Plan (stay registered with the Free Plan) and then whenever you're ready to list the 2nd group, sign up again for the $9.95 Plan.

If you're only talking about twice a year..that would not be a billing hassle for Auctiva or you. Changing every month might be but not what you want to do. And $9.95 spread over 100 items is a piece of cake.
That might be a work-around for you.
