Can I update or change a template on an active item?

I have so many listings with people watching and if I want to change the template or description at all it wont let me. Am I doing it wrong? I hate to loose all those links from customers "watching" on the my ebay pages and links just to change some verbiage or templates in my listings.
Is there anything I can do???

Hi,

Just to clarify....Changing a template or the description on a Saved Listing at Auctiva only changes code stored at Auctiva and not the active listing code on the separate eBay system.

Normally, you should be able to use the eBay Revise listing editor to make changes on the active listing (unless it has bids or is otherwise restricted from change by policy).

You can do total code replacement of the active listing description section code, which includes the template. That's done using the HTML export on the Saved Listings page to copy and paste updated code into eBay's Revise listing editor (set to HTML mode).
