I have tried to revise my listing in ebay and auctive. It will let me go in and make the changes but when I am done and hit continue at the bottom it come back that the internet can't open this page. I didn't have this trouble beore I joined auctiva. But I am still stumbling around trying to learn things and can't find instructions either. Help

I tried to revise listing on avtiva and ebay. both came up with the same problem. On ebay I went to revise item which brings up the edit your listing screen. made my changes and scroll down to the bottom were you click on the continue button and it takes you to the next screen which shows any additional chages to your account and you sumbit your listing. Only I can't get to that page. when I click on the continue button on the first page it come up with "Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage. I did not have this problem when I was just using ebay.
If you're revising an active auction, you HAVE to do it thru ebay...I was getting that 'cannot find server' page earlier today, while trying to post on these boards. (I use IE also) but it seems to be fine now Confused
Maybe you should file a support request under the help button at the top--Auctiva staff is excellent in doing whatever they can to help you.

As said, any revisions are done while logged into eBay. They aren't done through Auctiva (although you can directly link to revising the ad through Auctiva).

I would suggest trying a different browser (i.e. try FireFox if you're using Internet Explorer). Otherwise, you might need to contact eBay.
Hi iluvledz - There are several ways to add pics to an active listing, some are free and one is not. If you simply go to ebay's 'revise your listing' page and add pics via ebay's 'add photos section', located above the description box, then ebay will charge 0.15 per pic for this.

If you go to Auctiva's 'active listings' page, and click the 'add image' button, then you can select from your saved pics and the photos will be added below your description in your active listing, with a note that the images have been added. No charge for this method (I think). The reason I don't like this method is the pics are an obvious 'add-on'(not too professional looking).

The method I prefer is to revise your saved listing in Auctiva, and then copy & paste the HTML from the revised listing into the description box of your active listing. No extra charge for this either. Here are the steps:

1) Locate your listing in your Saved Listings folder in Auctiva, open it, make any necessary changes (add the new photos), preview, and save.
2) On your Saved Listings page, click the <HTML> icon to the right of your listing.
3) Select all of the HTML in the popup window and copy it.
4) Locate the item on eBay and click the "Revise your item" link.
5) Click the "HTML" tab above the Description box.
6) Select all of the HTML that's there, paste the copied HTML in its place, and save your changes.

Keep in mind that you can only change your listing if there are no bids and more than 12 hours left on the auction.

Hope this helps.
