Hi
This is my first time with Auctiva listing (and using the help boards). I'm trying to list an item but get the following reason for failure:

"The item cannot be listed or modified. The title and/or description may contain improper words, or the listing or seller may be breaching eBay policy."

I've read through similar postings for advice and have gone back to the listing and changed any speacial characters such as quote marks, dashes and brackets etc. to no avail.
Has anyone any idea what I could be doing wrong?
Many thanks.....

This often occurs when listing medical supplies, or things with the word COOKIE (yes, even cookie jar), the word guarantee ... so without seeing the words you are using it's hard to guess.

Can you preview your ad, right click, select view source, and paste all that HTML into www.practiceboard.com then click see HTML and it will give you a URL under the box you entered your info into and paste that URL here --- then we cn see it and possible help you.
Hi Apprentice
Thanks for the response. I've just tried what you suggested and for some reason I get the following message:

"windows cannot find 'notepad'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file. click the start button. and then click search".

I did everything you said, clicked the preview button, right clicked, then clicked on view source. Any suggestions?

Many thanks
Hi again
I sorted the problem by starting again from scratch. I was doing HTML listings and had copied and pasted the text into Auciva so it must have been the language it didn't like.

However, I now have a new problem. The auction that I've just posted on Ebay is showing up in my Ebay but when I do a search using any of the words in my auction title, my auction isn't showing up. It doesn't sound possible but it's true! What on earth is happening?
Please please help because I'm about to scream exceedingly loudly!!
