Is there a way to delete all of my profiles (master especially) and the imported auctions so that I can start it from scracth now that I seem to understand how it works?

Every time I go into

1.) click Profiles tab
2.) click Manage profiles link
3.) check the box next to the master profile you want to delete.
4.) click the delete button.

I am told that whatever choice it may be is used by the master profile and that I cannot delete it.

UGH...

I seem to be having the same problem. I did manage to delete my master profile (as near as I can tell) but I still get the same error message that it is being used by the master profile. Thanks for your help!

Hi Tom, Thank you for your reply. I understand what you're saying here...I did a pitiful job of explaining my problem in the previous post, however. Let's try again: I imported my listings from eBay, then I created a shipping profile and a checkout profile, and finally a master profile. I wanted to start over, so I deleted the master profile, then the checkout profile. But when I got to the shipping profile, I received an error message that I cannot delete the profile because it relies on a master profile. But there is no master profile...I already deleted it!

I get the same error when I try to delete the imported listings because apparently when they were imported, they were all assigned to be a profile of one kind or another. For example: I have 6 listings imported, 2 of them are marketing profiles, 2 are shipping profiles, etc. I don't know if this has anything to do with it because, after all, I already deleted the master profile, so why can't I delete them?
HELP!

Thanks again...

Hi all...I wanted to let you know I managed to resolve this. (As I posted above, I had deleted my master profile so I had no master profile at all.) Then I created a new master profile. Then, magically, some of the imported listings (the ones that were automatically assigned to be profiles)appeared. Three of those imported listings had been assigned to be master profiles even though they were not showing up before. (I hope that makes sense.) Now, I was able to delete them. Hope that helps you to resolve whatever "glitch" this might be. Thanks!
Hi wahm922...I don't know if you're having the same problem I did, but if you deleted some of your imported listings and then it wouldn't let you delete others...read my post above and how I resolved it. My problem came about when I deleted imported listings that had automatically been designated "master profiles." When I created a new master profile, the others "reappeared" and then I was able to delete them. You may be having a totally different issue, but hope this helps.
