Hello Steve on eBay,

The error message reported here typically indicates a temporary situation where there was an issue either with the connection or the communication with our service. We have not seen indicators of a widespread outage, so this issue should have been resolved reasonably quickly although you may have had to log out and back into your account after encountering it.

If you are still having trouble, or encounter further difficulty, please include the full text of any further errors as you did here in a support case so our agents can have a look into it for you.
