Do I need my ebay store if I have an Auctiva store?

Yes, you need both. The Auctiva isn't a "store" as it is more of a gallery of your ebay listings. In other words, only items you list on ebay will even appear in the auctiva store.

Calling it a Store is confusing to alot of people, I wish they would change it to Gallery.

Now I have to ask you though, I can have a gallery in my ebay store on my custom pages, so how will Auctiva help me?

How will auctiva help you? first and for most it will save you alot of $$$ in fees. You get free mulitple pics, free scheduling, free use of hundreds of templates. The scrolling window will show in each of your listings. To me listing on Auctiva vs Ebay is a Godsend. It is so much easier to list thru auctiva.

I have a ebay store too, using auctiva has helped me create nice, professional looking listings.

I would make one suggestion, if you sell alot of mulitple items to one buyer I'd turn off auctiva checkout before you do any listings. Auctiva checkout does not work with combined invoices at this time, so it creates a headache if you have a buyer buying more then one item.

There is sure a lot to learn and I'm plowing through it. I was also wondering about those listing fees. If I am asking too many questions, just let me know because that is another thing that had me confused. When working on the listing on Auctiva, I clicked on the estimated ebay fees but then saw the table of fees and that they were free with Auctiva. I wasn't sure if I had to register for that separately or if it worked automatically. It really doesn't indicate one way or another.

I'm not finding it as easy to get around on here as on other sites, maybe I'm just slow. I'll keep working on it and try to stay patient.

Okay with Auctiva, you still will pay the ebay fees for listing, gallery, and FVF. Auctiva doesn't charge you for these, what showed when you selected the show ebay fees is what ebay will charge you for that listing.

you will NOT pay anything for multiple pictures, up to 16 in each listing. Ebay charges like 15 cents for each one after the first one. you will not pay for scheduling, ebay charges for this too if you do it thru ebay. you do not pay for the templates.

I like to use alot of pics, and like to use scheduling, I also use the templates in every listing. I'm saving ALOT OF MONEY using Auctiva, sometimes up to a couple bucks per listing depending on how many pics I use.

I found Auctiva a bit confusing when I first started, but read alot and just dove in. Now I can do it with my eyes closed, lmao ..not really but sometimes I think I can.

fill out the profiles, for shipping and details for things you sell alot of where the info is the same, it saves tons of time.

just a reminder and tip - get familiar with ebay's listing fees. they have it where when you change from one group of starting prices to the next, you pay more.

Ie: if you start an item at $1.00 you will pay 35cents insertion fee, whereas if you would have started it at 99cents, you'd only pay 20-cents.

you'd be surprised at how many people start an item at $1 instead of 99cents and end up spending 15 cents more for their ad in order to get a penny more in selling price. For example, there are currently 4,108 items that have "dvd" in the title that started at $1.00 That's $616.20 in fees that ebay got solely because people started their items at $1 instead of at 99 cents. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

The reason why we called it an Auctiva Store instead of simply a Gallery is because eventually we plan to extend its functionality to be MORE than just a simple display of all your eBay listings, but include actual store functionality such as a Shopping Cart so that you can sell items out of your Auctiva Store without even using eBay

I screwed up on a listing this morning. It was an expired listing. I set it up on Auctiva and posted it but when it posted I got an email from ebay telling me that it was closed and to relist......so I did, duh! I ended the duplicate listing but have to pay twice for the fees. Rats!

Yes please! Would we then have to pay for this service? Would we have to use Auctiva checkout instead of eBay? Would we still use Paypal? And most importantly for me, will it still be available in the UK?

I know it's only a plan at the moment, but I'd like to hear more if there's more to hear. I would ask for a delivery time, but I know you'll not want to give anything specific in case people start to build their business plan around it and then complain, bitterly, when it doesn't happen.

I am inquiring about a straight sell from Auctiva without using e-Bay to auction.

No, the Auctiva Store is more of a gallery of uploaded straight/store auctions.

It is not an independent store that you can upload your own items...your items have to be uploaded to eBay and then those items will show in the gallery/store.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh....that's what I've been wanting for the past few years that I've been with Auctiva.
