I see all kinds of comments regarding other problems folks have had with either eBay or Auctiva this past weekend. I have 2 issues I couldn't find any other comments on.

First issue is for almost every listing I would get an error msg saying page not responding. After some trial & error, I found if I just twiddled my thumbs for a minute or so, finally Auctiva would either save or post listing.

Anyone else have this happen? I have Windows 7 with IE 9 (I don't have google chrome because when I tried it a while ago it caused all kinds of problems.)

Second issue, thank goodness for the Auctiva "auto-save." I should know better than to type out a long description for a huge lot of jewelry without saving multiple times.

However the "auto-save" didn't seem to be working right. One time I chose "preview" in a separate pop up window I saw most of my text had been saved but I still needed to make changes. I checked on restore & all I saw was a blank screen where the background design & description text should be. I can't remember the choices now but in upper left corner there were 2 icons & nothing happened when I clicked either one. I clicked on the preview listing within Auctiva & saw pictures but not background or text. Finally I just decided to list to possible blank text listing to eBay. What showed up in the "preview" of auto-save was in listing & then I made rest of revisions to text in eBay.

Next time when Auto Save kicked in, I clicked on preview & nothing happened. So I clicked on restore & this time it worked correctly populated all of my saved text. Strange!?

Hi Bev5,

Thanks for contributing to our forum. I cannot attribute either of the issues you described here to any specific technical difficulties we have experienced, but I would definitely agree that the behavior you have described is strange.

Given that you were frequently receiving “page not responding” errors when listing your items, it sounds like there may have been a connectivity issue (perhaps on the route between you and our systems) that was preventing you from maintaining a stable connection to our site.

I suspect the other issues you encountered related to the description auto-save feature were caused by the same issue, especially if you are not encountering either issue any longer at this time, but I really cannot be certain based on the available information.

In any event, if you are still encountering either of these issues, please contact our Customer Support team directly from under the “Help” tab within your account and we will be happy to continue working with you.

-Mike
