hello everyone,

i'm not sure if i'm the only one with this issue...but it just came to my attention that when completing the flat rate shipping option in auctiva...the additional amount is NOT posting on ebay...on ebay it is showing up as $0.00!!

i just had a customer, purchase and already pay for, 2 of the same items and she only sent shipping for 1 item...the addtional item on the listing is showing up as $0.00!!!

so now i am having to go back into every listing and make sure that the shipping options are posting...which, they're NOT!

so just an "fyi" for everyone who offers the flat rate shipping option with the additional shipping amount for added items, check your listings and make sure the additional amount is posting on ebay....mine aren't.

and yes, i've already submitted a tech request. if anyone else is having this issue, please also post a tech request so we know the scope of the issue or if it's just me...

thanks,
kathleen Smile

Yes, I do realize that! However, ebay only offers $dollar amount discounts and not percentages...I can't simply say that if I sell a large item, that same $dollar discount will be the same as if I sell a smaller item.

And, up until recently, the Auctiva settings have been posting properly.

And, if that was the case, why are those addt'l shipping options available for you to fill in on the Auctiva template if the feature is programmed through ebay?
I have an additional question in this area. In the Shipping and Handling time option on Auctiva, I don't see a way to choose 2-9 days, which is standard Media Mail time. Do I take care of this at Ebay as well? I have my first scheduled listings for 10:00pm and 10:05 pm EST tonight, Sunday. When do I make the adjustments I need on Ebay? Thanks to anyone who can help this beginner out!
I have no idea what you are referring to when you say there are features in the Auctiva template with regards to additional shipping options. The only thing in there that I have ever seen that even remotely comes close to what you are talking about is a simple check box with the following text on it:

Make this item eligible for a shipping discount according to my eBay preferences

Shipping discounts for additional items are done on eBay. There are no settings that I'm aware of on Auctiva that allow you to specify any type of discount...

File a support case if you think something is wrong...but I've never seen or heard of what you are asking about.

There are two things to note here... One is that eBay will automatically show your potential buyers the 2-9 day average shipping time if you select Media Mail as the type of shipment you will be using.

Second, there another piece of information, probably more to what you are looking for, that tells the potential buyer how many days you will take before you ship something to them. In other words, if I buy something from you on Sunday, do you ship on Monday or do you wait till Friday and then ship the item out. That is probably the Handling time that you are referring to...and it should be considered seperate from the times quoted by the Post Office. You determine your own Handling time... If you ship items out right away then your Handling time should be a low number otherwise specify your actual handling time before something you sell gets into the hands of the folks at USPS.

OK Mike,

Do you sell items in quantities more than 1?

Now, I copied the following DIRECTLY from my listing template in Auctiva just now...mind you, it doesn't look exact due to no "boxes" or whathaveyou...but this is under SHIPPING TOOLS..and when you choose FLAT RATE SHIPPING..you will have Domestic Shipping Options and International Shipping Options, BOTH of which offer the additional text box to add "Additional Item Cost"

Domestic Shipping Options -

Enter "0" in the Cost field to specify FREE shipping for domestic and international options.
First Domestic Service: Cost: $ Additional Item Cost: $
