I have been going crazy with my listings all of a sudden showing that I am participating in the new Global Shipping service which I am NOT for lots of reasons! I just got off the phone with eBay and the rep admitted there is a glitch between Auctiva and eBay and lots of sellers who sell internationally AUTOMATICALLY show that they participate in the Global Shipping and until they figure out how to fix it, we have to go into our account and BULK EDIT to UNCHECK that box if you don't want to use it. I don't like it because they bill the buyer for VAT for their country and then pay that government the collected tax!

Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

I've really been struggling with this.

I have one listing with it turned on and I can't turn it off.

I feel like I have to rush right away to turn it off by revising my listing in ebay before something happens like I get a bid.

I to called ebay. They sounded like they were going to ask their programmers to turn off the opt-in for me. That would fix everything. I doubt they will.

I've last left a service ticket with Auctiva just to see if there's some response and something they can recommend doing.

The thing it's doing to me that really hurts is that I offer first class international shipping. When you sell a $10 part, it's hard to justify asking $15 for shipping.

With this Global thing turned on, ebay takes away that first class service and won't let me add it back as long as the global shipping flag is set. So, it's doubly important I get it off. I've got an item up now that I will get no international bidders due to this bug. Mad

Hi examqueen & MikeTheWatchGuy,

Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. We have received a few similar reports of this nature from other sellers over the past few days as well, but I am uncertain what has caused this to begin happening not what can be done to resolve the issue for the sellers who have been affected.

According to eBay's help page on the Global Shipping Program ( http://pages.ebay.com/help/sel...ipping-globally.html ), in order to offer the Global Shipping Program on a listing, a seller should need to opt in to the program *and* select the “Global Shipping Program” option in the International Shipping section.

We are currently looking into this issue and I will keep you posted on any additional details I am able to uncover. For the time being, I recommend contacting (or following up with) eBay's Customer Support team to see if they are able to help.

Hello again,

We have just released an update which we expect will prevent the Global Shipping Program option from being automatically added to listings, so any new listings that you post through your Auctiva accounts moving forward should not display this option.

If you continue to see this behavior in listings you post after this time, please let us know by mousing over the “Help” tab and selecting the “File Support Case” option. Thanks again for helping to bring this to our attention.

-Mike
