Hi Everyone Smile
After 3 years with Marketworks I am now saying goodbye and moving to Auctiva.

I have been searching the boards and reading the FAQ on Auctiva but I still had some questions.

1) I know that Auctiva will automatically import all my eBay items for me, however, I have Marketworks checkout buttons in all my auctions. Will I need to go thru each auction and remove these or will Auctiva remove them?

2) Do I need to make any changes to my eBay checkout settings in order for my customers to use Auctiva checkout?

3) I am planning on buying one of the packages that Auctiva offers. I would like to know if anyone else has a package and your comments on it.

4) With Marketworks I had a storefront and anything I had listed in my store I could launch to my eBay store. Does Auctiva offer a storefront "outside" of eBay?

Thanks in advance for your help

Hi Kelinurse,

I'm certainly no expert but I wouldn't think it would be that difficult...

1. Try going to your ebay preferences and revoking 3rd party authorization for Marketworks. Once you sign up with Auctiva and get a token, then THEY will have authorization instead. You should end up with the Ebay pay now button that will direct the buyer to Auctiva checkout.
(I keep saying 'should' because ebay is extremely glitchy lately)

2. The above should take care of your Ebay checkout settings

3. I myself use the free service and LOVE it, but I do know a couple of folks who use the paid services and would never give them up.

4. Auctiva offers a store but as of yet it's not a 'stand alone' store, so no it wouldn't be 'outside' of ebay. Tho it has been mentioned by Auctiva support that this may be coming soon (which would be great).

If I'm incorrect about any of this, hopefully someone else with more experience will come along to help out. In the meantime, good luck Smile
1.) you might. We try and strip that stuff out but there are so many companies and so many images I'm not sure we get them all.

2.) I don't think so. If you were using Marketworks eBay integrated checkout then ours should work. But note that you'll need to post the items through us for buyers to checkout through us. It sucks and eBay has an API call that would let us take over your other checkouts but they don't give it out to 3rd parties.

3.) We don't really market that service a lot and many of our users are the size of seller that would use it. It's not a big profit driver for us. We mainly do it to keep the bigger sellers happy. As you can see from the portfolio page some of the designs are really slick looking. A lot of people just find it too hard to pass up our free templates and use that money on other things.

4.) We'll be offering that later in the year. I'd love to give a date but as soon as I did that you could bet it would take twice as long. But what we have is very nice and on par with the store that Marketworks charged about $1,000 for. They had a very nice store though if you were using their newer asp.net one. I can't speak to their older store.
