I haven't had my coffee yet nor am I very good at acronyms. <smile>

I've been with Auctiva for a long time, years and one thing I've learned. There is no perfect service. That being said, Auctiva suits my needs very well and I wouldn't have stayed around this long if it hadn't.

Suthrnjewl - yes rw is/was an eBay ad generating website that has gone downhill in the past year. More and more of the resources stopped working and we got to be just banging our heads against the wall trying to get anything done.

Cool! I feel like I found an old friend. I emailed pg8 when I first signed up with this site a few weeks back saying how much nicer things work (although today the pics aren't coming up right LOL). She never replied to my email. I read her RW post. I too was very loyal to RW and Jay but come on, he's just counting the cash and not fixing anything. There's no excuse after that long. I used to refer people to his site. I wouldn't do that now. He doesn't even respond to emails now or anything.

Jay's not responding to emails for support and ignoring pleas for help on the boards is not only bad business it is downright rude and ignorant! ppg8's unwavering stance of blind loyalty has gotten old too. She won't even acknowledge that there is something wrong. I got SO sick of having to revise every auction!

popeye - As a seller of clothing maybe you can advise me on an item I have. It is a men's camel hair jacket and I've had it about 30 years. The likelyhood of it fitting me again is slim to nil! I did a searcgh and from what I can see I'd be lucky to sell it for $10 to $25. Would I be able to do better if I waited until next fall to list it? I paid several hundred dollars so I know it'w worth more than 10-25!

Hi Barry, is that you wearing it? Looks like it fits to me. You might want to wait but it seems it should be an okay time to list it. Fall does seem like the most appropriate time. It just all depends on whose looking at an item at a particular time what it sells for.

No, that's me holding the camera, my neighbor is doing the wearing. Same with anything one lists, "depends upon who's watching" I'll wait until fall. I'm closing up shop now for a couple of months anyway.

Going on a vacation, Barry? I need to do something like that myself. I'm way overdue for a break of some kind but this is how I make my living. Bumped into anyone else on here? The boards are a bit confusing and seem a little less personal. Interesting you can see how many people looked and lurked at your post.

Well, interesting test. I guess any Auctiva sign up puts you here. I just signed up for this free site two days ago, but according to that test post I joined in 2001 and have made 11 posts. Wild! Guess I was with Auction Poster for that long and must have signed up on some community board somewhere.

So far I'm liking this site, except for the server busy part and I sure wish we could write our auctions offline. Seems that would help the server issues too.

Hi Popeye - Yes, I saw that. I'm not listing for a while though and no more games until next fall. This time of the year is slow and prices are low, no sense giving games away! Heading home to Canada in three weeks so I won't be listing until I get there.

Sorry for the slow reply. It's not as convenient logging into these chatrooms as RW. You just vacation in Yuma for the winter? I love Canada.
