Hello everyone! I'm new to Auctiva and I have never sold anything yet on Ebay so I've been reading posts and preparing my profiles in Auctiva to get started, but I have some questions.

1. Am I able to see the status of my auction info on Ebay’s “All Selling” section as well as Auctiva?

2. How do you import something from Ebay to Auctiva? For example, if I relist (via Ebay), how does that import into Auctiva so I can purchase insurance if needed?

3. If I use Auctiva (with checkout disabled), will Ebay still send out an automatic invoice?

4. On the same subject, if I begin to use Auctiva Checkout does it send out an invoice to the buyer?

5. How does Auctiva’s checkout, work in conjunction with Paypal?

6. I can’t figure out how to create a link on my auctions to allow buyers to “Add me to their favorites”. Can someone help me?

7. Please explain how I add money to my shipping insurance account. Do I need to do this before I can buy insurance at all or can I do it after the first time someone wants to purchase insurance for one of my auctions?

8. Any other helpful hints to get me started and ensure I’m not doing something wrong would be most appreciated.

Thanks a bunch for the assistance. Looking forward to using Auctiva! Smile

Yes, all your eBay activity can be viewed on your My eBay page. Auctiva also imports this info, but there's a lag of several hours usually.

I think (although I'm not positive) that if you relist at eBay Auctiva will still import it (someone will correct me if I'm wrong).

I don't think eBay sends them automatically but you can do it manually through eBay. The winners will get notification that they won, though. You'll get a notification as well which has a "Send Invoice" link in it.

It sounds like you may already know this but FYI, you can't combine shipping/invoices when using Auctiva's checkout. It's something I believe they're working on for a future release but something I wanted to mention because it trips a lot of people up in the beginning.

Good luck!
HI Community,

1) Yes, your selling information automatically gets imported into Auctiva.

2) It typically takes 4-6 hours for a listing or revision made via eBay to be imported by Auctiva...so, your Auctiva account will import your seller account information. If you wish to purchase insurance for a relisted item then you can do so using the "Purchase Insurance" link to the right of the item on your Auctiva -> Sales -> Transactions page.

3) If Auctiva checkout is disabled, then nothing will change with your checkout process. IF you choose to enable Auctiva checkout, it will be integrated with Auctiva checkout so your buyer would be directed to your Auctiva checkout by clicking the "Pay Now" button on the eBay winning bidder notice.

4 No, Auctiva does not out an invoice to the buyer. The buyer is sent the winning bidder notive from eBay, then, when the customer completes checkout, the completed checkout form is sent to the seller and buyer via email.

5) You can accept Paypal through Auctiva checkout=) You can also accept direct credit card paymemnts to your merchant account if you have an Authorize.net gateway. As usual, you can also accept money order/cashier's check and personal check paymets through Auctiva checkout if you wish.

6) I'll leave that to another member...but, we do have other eBay site links available from our description editor in the "User Links" pull down menu on the upper right of the editor tool bar.

7) You can add money to your Auctiva Shipping Insurance account using the "Add funds to my accoutn link at Auctiva -> My Account(tab) -> Auctiva Shipping Insurance Settings. Your account is allowed to reach (-)$5 before the setting is disabled. If Auctiva Shipping Insurance is enabled, than the insurance policy will be automatically generated when specified and applied to your balance at Auctiva ->My Account(tab) -> Auctiva Shipping Insurance Settings. If you wish to purchase Auctiva Shipping Insurance for an item that was listed directly through eBay, you can do so after the sale using the "Purchase Insurance" link at Auctiva -> Sales(tab) -> Transactions.

Welcome to Auctiva!

-Mike
