i give up.

if anyone from auctiva reads this, please e-mail me, since i can't contact you (see OP)
Frown

i've just spent over four hours on ONE listing. even saving it in increments, i get "page not found."

the listings are in my "saved listings,however--none with the information i added/changed.

soooo...i delete the old ones; pick up with the latest one--and wind up right back where i started.

i've had this problem here all day, on and off. one listing took over an hour to get posted to eBay because of this.

i'm not having this problem on any other site; only here.

'night, all Smile
okay--i'm really done this time. just went to file a support ticket and got this:

"Server Error in '/' Application.

"this is typical of what i get with saving or posting a listing, filing a new support ticket, or replying to an old one:

hello again Smile thatnks for the replies.

using IE; always have. regularly scan for nasties--know all about that. no toolbars other than google's, and i have the minimum options for even that.

if it were an IE problem, then this would happen on other sites (and i use many). it only happens here, though.

FWIW, i had few problems using my old win98 PC; it's been since resuming winXP that this started.

just now i was looking through closed listings to re-list a similar item; got "page not found" when i wanted to view more than 25 items.

ooookay...so i went to page two. "page not found."

refreshed the page--took me back to page one.

clicked the link for page two.

"page not found."

in all sincerity, i think it's a site-problem--otherwise, as i said, this would be happening w/other sites at various times.

it only happens here. so that "gibberish" is probably a busted "pointer" on the auctiva site, i suspect.
Could be, however I haven't seen anyone else complaining about this certain problem.

I use Firefox and Opera both, and I've never had a page not found error, or any script error for that fact. Not that Auctiva is error free, cause it's not I have had a couple small issues but no site is perfect.

When I used IE, I could run adaware everynight and have any where from 50 to 200 bugs (kids like to surf). Since I stopped using IE, I'm lucky to have 50 bugs a month. I've also not had problems with pages loading. Just my opinon though. Wink
hi again! well, things are a little better: i was able to file a support thingie (odd you can't file one w/ HTML when HTML is in the error).

i'm still getting that "page not found thing;" however, the listings are being saved (sort of).

no site is glitch-free; what impresses me is that the auctiva people actually DO something about it.

i was talking to a fellow eBayer about this (wonderful guy who's been w/ eBay since the ice age), and told him that, perhaps, eBay's so-called support staff might do well to visit w/ the auctiva people and learn exactly how to deal w/ support & site issues...hehehe.

and, having messed w/ 'puters (soft- and hardware both) for eleven years, i'm not averse to doing something new and different (i.e., firefox). it's just passing strange that IE is perfectly happy everywhere but here!

(i'm getting rid of ad-aware for a bit to give a go with another proggie i found. it's on my new desk-top, and i'm very impressed.)
