yeah yeah I see all the discussions about pics not uploading & blah blah blah...
I quick looked into a few of them but didn't see any word from Auctiva yet so I figured while I'm here I may as well chime in eh? Razz

I find it quite amusing to see how many sit here & bitch, whine & moan like a spoiled brat because the FREE service
they have been using for soooo many years & have come to love seems to be having technical difficulties Roll Eyes

get over it people, **** happens!!

use this as an excuse to rejoin the REAL world.
don't fill the dang boards with all this whiney crap.
hell if i wanna hear whining i got a 7 yr old that could put you all to shame...
hmmmm maybe not ALL of you Eek
don't you people tire of spending hour after hour piling loads of well...."crap" on a message board waiting for the problem to fix?

go outside & get some fresh air, it will do you some good Big Grin

leave the board open so when Auctiva does update us their posts don't get buried under BS Red Face

oh yeah...you all be sure to have a Great Day!!!

I've been offline/out of town for several days & am VERY behind--have nothing selling & NEED MONEY Badly.

I had intended to get a few auctions listed QUICKLY today before we leave town again tonight. So, just when it's CRUCIAL to me to be able to do it, I can't because of some problem that Auctiva is having & they don't even care to put a news bulletin in the top "READ THIS FIRST" thread NOR are they using their handy flash button to notify me of a problem. As long as I've gone to the time & trouble to get into the boards to try to find out if I'm the only one, or if others are having the same problem, I figure I may as well put in my 2 cents, see? Many users don't file a Trouble Ticket, so by posting, it gives Auctiva an idea of the extent of the problem.
It is Saturday...MOST people (Auctiva Support included) are OFF on the weekends.
If people actually READ previous correspondence here on the board from Support they would be aware of this.
It's a matter of someone from support finding a minute to peek in on Auctiva/message boards to know that there even IS a problem.

Be grateful that someone from support will eventually be aware of the problem and will get online & help/tend with this/any problem.

I'm shifting laundry & peeked in to see if this problem was resolved.

I would love to be listing right now like so many others but I do appreciate this wonderful FREE service I have been so lucky to take advantage of for all these years.
Of course the more we get listed the more money we make but do the math...all the money we have saved using this service is DEFINATELY reason enough to not be so pissy about the problems we run into with listing.

Had I been paying for this service...damn straight I would be all annoyed & up in everyone and anyones face about it.

purgatroid...I have not nor am I now "whining".
I am a very proud "Mommy" & well...the posts people make when Auctiva goes down are outright childish.
It's like a bunch of spoiled children not getting the piece of candy or toy they wanted.

If I was on the Auctiva side of all this I would take my sweet time about getting to any problems.
Why should they hurry for such ungrateful people?

I'd laugh & say "Sucks for them" & go on enjoying my weekend OFF with my family & friends Big Grin

Look at the FULL picture before attacking Auctiva.
If it is so imperative that you have access to list 24/7 WITHOUT problems/glitches then maybe it's time you did into your pocket & pay for it.
Funny thing is you will learn the HARD way that such problems that we have here at Auctiva happen EVERYWHERE.
Welcome to the REAL world.

Back to hanging out my laundry & bathing my dogs...things I wouldn't be enjoying right now had Auctive pics NOT been down Wink
from Auctiva Mike D in another thread....

Hi Community,

Thanks for helping to bring this issue to our attention. As many of you have been discussing on this thread, we are currently experiencing some technical difficulties that are preventing many users from being able to upload images. Our technical team is currently investigating these issues and will have it resolved as soon as possible.

I will be posting further updates on the following thread of our community forum as additional information becomes available: https://community.auctiva.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=3496045...851029492#5851029492

VERY poor attempt at being a smart ass maxknitter, don't quit your day job Wink

As usual Auctiva got things back up & running quickly.
I'm guessing all the whiners & Auctiva "haters" went immediately back to taking advantage to this FREE service Big Grin

It's a shame more people aren't more appreciative of what they have.
Hang me for standing by a site I have been using for years at NO charge.

Basically what all you bitchers & whiners are doing when there are technical difficulties here at Auctiva is "Biting the hand that feeds you"

There may come a day that they all say enough is enough.
There are more ungrateful people using Auctiva then people who do appreciate this FREE service so let's stick it to them like everyone else & start charging for our site usage.

THINK people...THINK!

I hope everyone got tons of listing done today & you're all making lots of sales.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
Suzy:

You definitely need to take a chill pill...

This is an open forum for anyone to express their satisfaction OR frustrations regarding their experiences with Auctiva. It's a place for all to learn from each other and sometimes even help each other out.

I assume that we're all adults here and don't need or want to be lectured as to proper behavior. That being said, why don't we all stop this childish banter about why we aren't more appreciative and just "build a bridge and get over it"!
Dapper: start a new thread. In short your listings are slow because of "Seller Circle Gallery"

Your photos loaded for me in less than a second. The page jammed up on Seller Circle Gallery for probably 20 seconds then that completely failed to load.

I was using Firefox which let everything else load nicely though. Other browsers may choke and not load correctly because of things like that. I tried it in IE and nothing in your description showed until the Seller Circle gallery failed. That's a huge problem.
Try adding the following HTML code to your template to get a search box. You can replace background: #c0c0c0; in the CSS with whatever background color you want the button to have.

 <style type="text/css">
#aucsearchbutton{
	width: auto;
	overflow: visible;
	padding: 0 6px;
	background: #c0c0c0;
	border-style: outset;
	border-width: 2px;
	vertical-align: middle;
	}
#aucsearchbutton:hover {
	cursor: pointer;
}
#aucsearchbutton:active {
	border-style: inset;
}
</style>
TP_T_AUCTIVASEARCHBOX
<!--[if IE]>
<style type="text/css">
	#aucsearchbutton {
		cursor: hand;
		}
	#aucsearchbutton{
		margin-left: 3px;
		}
</style>
<![endif]-->
