Hi Everyone,
I like the Auctiva templates but I want to change the font color and they seem to be set up to use a certain color font. I've tried to do it but it still puts the font (or at least part of it) back to the same color as the template. Can anyone tell me how to change it? I haven't been with Auctiva very long, I've been a Vendio customer! Thanks.

The easiest way for you to do this is to create a listing. In the text editor for your description area you may type or paste in what you want to say, highlight whatever it is that you want to appear differently then use the tools in the editor to change the color of text, font, font size, etc. The tool for changing font colors is a capital T with a color wheel next to it. When you preview your listing you will notice the change. Do not look to the template selector to show you the change you have made, it will not even show the text you have entered, make sure to preview using the listing preview button or after you save the listing select that listing and preview from the saved listing page.

copying it from word

Hi,

Because Word uses a different, incompatible, mark-up language than HTML, a copy - paste from Word won't operate equivalent and can malfunction. I believe the Word Paste button simply strips-out the incompatible code instead of a true 100% conversion, i.e. to prevent problems with Word code.

If you recreate the text or add-back color and font formatting, does that work? If not, which template are you using?

I've tried to change it using the editor in Auctiva and the only part that seems to work is the indentation/centering features, color, font, size and non functional.

I'm not very familiar with html code but I think the paste feature that you get with the little box on auctiva give you the ability to strip all the code out and just raw text goes into it,,,,, I still can't change that in auctiva editor.

Thanks so much for your help.

Hi,

Wow! That listing is just jammed with Word formatting code. I suspect that is causing the malfunctions.

Try using the Word Paste button when you do the copy to remove the Word code. However, you might want to simply use Notepad to create the plain text, which copies without a problem. In either case, you'll have to add formatting at Auctiva.
