Help! I'm working on a listing and have uploaded a bunch of pictures. I cannot figure out how to rearrange the order of my images/pictures without deleting them and re-uploading them. For example, I want image/picture #3 to be the 6th image/picture now. So the only way that I can see how to do this (and this way really sucks!) is to delete all the pictures and start over after I figure out the exact order before I upload. I hope I'm making sense. I searched the postings and could not find a similar problem which leads me to believe that I don't have a clue!

Hi ninth,
I think (s)he means the listing is already in progress and images are being uploaded for the first time...?
terrif19710, I've done this myself, and I don't think they can be re-arranged without removing and starting over. If there's a way, I would love to know Smile
For that matter: even if they are already loaded into Auctiva's website, let's say I pick out pics 1,2,3, and 4. Then I change my mind about the order--Is there a way to change what I've already done without deleting all of them & starting over? I guess I'm asking the same question now Smile
It IS a pain to remove all of them & start over Eek
Hi 8880 - If you already have the pics loaded into the listing and then change your mind, I really don't see the problem. The process of clicking "remove" and then reloading the pics into the listing in the new order, shouldn't take more than a few seconds, unless you're loading a full 24 pics. Or am I still not getting this? I'm assuming of course that the pics have been uploaded to Auctiva. On the other hand, externally hosted images WOULD be a hassle, since you would have to re-paste each URL one at a time. Yikes, no thanks.

Maybe in a spare moment, engineering can give us a drag and drop arrangement whereby we can re-arrange the order with just a little mouse action, kind of like the old shell game. "ok folks, step right up!" Smile

I agree there needs to be a simpler way.
Here is what I am doing

Assuming I am working on the listing and the photos are in the wrong order say D E F A B C
With photo D as #1 and C as #6

I go to the select image area. D has a #1 on it
I click it - now it shows no number, then click it again and it will be 6

Now E has a #1 on it
I click it - now it shows no number, then click it again and it will be 6 (D is now 5)

Now F has a #1 on it
I click it - now it shows no number, then click it again and it will be 6 (D is now 4, E is now 5)

Then I exit and all the photos are in the order I wanted A B C D E F

The photos selected for Header and gallery are still the correct photos
If this was said, sorry. When you have the thumbnails below the description, and you want to rearrange - click any thumbnail to open the picture window.

At the top left is a View with an arrow that says Thumbnails.

Change that to List and it gives you a filmstrip with arrows to move them left or right. Easy as pie... actually easier. lol
That tip works well for when you need to change recently uploaded photos and when you have less than a thousand images uploadded but when I am changing photos from a month ago, I may have to sort through a few thousand images to find those to rearrange them.... Any possibility to add a feature to change order once photos are selected without having to go back into the select image section?
Hi Paul. You don't have to sort through anything.

When you pull up the image selection box, just change option in upper left from thumbnails to "list" and it takes you directly to only the images you have in that listing. You can reorder them there by clicking the arrows below the pics.

I just now tried it on an old listing that still has pics. Works great. Smile
