Hi painthorse5,

You can cancel your Auctiva account by going to Auctiva -> My Account -> Cancel. After this, the Auctiva store window will no longer be inserted into your listings.

To remove the store window from your active listings, you must delete the store window html form the html description using ebay's "Revise Item" form. The store window html can be found at Auctiva -> Store -> Store Window -> Store Window HTML.

Okay, I feel better now. I've just gotten comfortable with how Ebay & PayPal work, this is a whole new ballgame to me. When I saw that my auctions had things add to them when I sign up with Auctiva I panicked. I would like to have known that was going to happen ahead of time. I have a couple of questions... I have listed shipping discounts on those auctions, now I realize I can't do that with this checkout. Is there any way to remove checkout from these auctions. My other question is in those auctions I have stated how much the insurance would cost, how is that going to be affected by the insurance Auctiva offers? Will insurance be charged twice to my buyers? What if anything do I need to do? Thank you for your help
Hi painthorse5,

The Auctiva checkout only applies to listings created through Auctiva so your listings you already created will not go through Auctiva.
If you want to use Auctiva to create your listings but not use our checkout, you can disable it at Auctiva -> My Account -> Checkout Settings.

Also, the shipping insurance offered through Auctiva will only be offered to customers if you use Auctiva checkout so you shouldn't have any problems there either.

I hope that clears things up for you.

I still think it's better to let members know that when they create a token for Auctiva, it will automatically insert the showcase into their auctions. I say this coming from a good place. Why make someone mad or 'terrified'? When you can add a simple notice and or disclaimer to let them know ahead of time with instruction on how to turn it off. Anyway, my 2 cents that covering your bases and keeping newbies happy is something to consider.

I agree, most the bad mouthing I have seen elsewhere about Auctiva is about the window. There should be instructions on how to change the default before creating a token. Also advise that the window is set by default to the top when listing through Auctiva. I use to hit the back button when I saw the scrolling window at top, I think it is tacky. When I click on an item I first want to see that item, not something forced on me. It is perfectly fine and professional looking at the bottom.
I completely agree with hg. Notify people ahead of time so that they know in advance that the window will be put into all the auctions, and also please consider making the default window be at the bottom, not at the top like it currently is. I agree that as a buyer, I first want to see the item I want to see and that I went to the auction to see-not a bunch of other stuff. If I want to see the seller's other items I can easily scroll down.
