I have a list to choose from...One for returns, one for shipping, one for payment, one for etc....total of 8...what have I done wrong? And now, all but the Payment information, when I go to edit one, is GONE!@!!!! JUST TOTALLY GONE!!!! How do I recover the HOURS of time I spent tweaking each subject? What did I do wrong and how do I do it right? Thank you so much for your time. --Jason
Also, if you don't mind helping, since you're the only one that's responded Smile only 1 out of 10 active listing I have is showing up in my store and NONE of my store categories are showing up! Do you know anything about that, or does anyone else reading this?

Thank you all so much for volunteering your very valuable time to help people like me "newbies" learn to use this program.

I just hope I haven't lost everything.

I did ALL of my seller details in HTML, made them look VERY NICE, spent ALL DAY on them, and now they're GONE, except the very first one, which is Payments!

How do I retrieve this and get it to work? I have 8 different seller details that I want to be part of my auction, each with their own heading, like I've seen in examples, and cannot figure out how to do it. The drop down menu is there for all of them, but I can only pick ONE of them! Thanks guys! --Jason
Hi Jason.

A "seller details" profile consists of 5 areas: payment, shipping, terms of sale, about us and contact us. You can fill in any or all of the sections. This is then one profile.

The reason you can only select 1 in the "seller details" drop down menu on the listing page is due to the fact that you can only insert one "seller detail" profile in to a listing.

You can create 3 other types of profiles: marketing, shipping and checkout which you then use to fill in those areas at the bottom of you listing page.

You can also create an "item details" profile which can include any or all of the following: your title, category, ebay store categories, item description, photos, price, quantity, duration, template, template layout, seller detail profile, and counter. Useful if you sell a lot of the same type of item or want to use the same template, seller details etc.

The last profile is the "master" profile which can consist of an item detail, marketing, shipping and checkout profiles.

I have one basic "seller details" profile that I use for all of my listings and then I have different marketing and shipping profiles for the different types of items I sell.

As for you info disappearing I think that this might be the reason. A few months ago I went into my existing seller detail profile to make a few adjustments. I wanted to skip right to the terms of sale section so I clicked next, next to skip past payment and shipping. I made my corrections in terms of sale and saved. I went to a saved listing to see how it looked and the payment & shipping sections were empty. I believe, but don't hold me to this, that by not waiting for the info in the payment and shipping sections to actually load onto my page before clicking next that they were erased. I did test this once and it happened again. Now if I want to edit a section I make sure that it loads on the page before I click next. It has never happened since that time. If this is what happened to you and your sections of the profile are empty then I am afraid that they are lost and will have to be redone.

I find that the best thing to do is create my profiles in a program such as notebook or Kompozer save them to a folder and then paste them into Auctiva. This way if something goes wrong you just go back copy and paste again. I have a couple of hundred files saved into folders on my desktop containing all of the html I use in Auctiva, ebay and my ebay store. This way you can play with item anytime you want and when you are satisfied with the look you then copy & paste where you want the changes.

Sorry to be long winded but sometimes I get carried away.

Hope this info helps.

Terence

Ok, I have a few follow up questions.

First, I re-created all of my info while waiting on someone to help. You are the only one that I got an email from (set my notify to email me) so THANK YOU!!! Now I need just a little more help.

I used MS FrontPage so I could create good looking listings for the 5 categories and save them forever, in case THIS PART happened again. Then figured out that those five categories had to be in ONE "seller details" file, so I created ONE "seller details" listing again and applied it to a theme and it worked.

Now the problem is, I really need about 7 of them. Is there ANY WAY TO HAVE MORE THAN 5? ANY HACKS OR WORKAROUNDS?

I've filled in the other 3, so I have those all set up.

Now, I THOUGHT that the item details was for an actual listing and it would save preferences once done one time, but it's where I go to create a listing. Am I wrong, and if so, is it just a TEMPLATE, a PROFILE, or WHAT? And if it is anything other than where I go to create a new listing to schedule or post, if I fill it in, all but the item name, category, description, and pricing (because that's the difference for each item, and I sell 1 of a lot of DIFFERENT items, instead of 10 of the same item, which would make my eBay experience a whole lot better, but I just haven't found a good enough drop shipper yet Frown oh well) then
what do I do to create an actual listing/scheduled listing and USE that profile/template that I've "started"????

How does a "MASTER" Profile help me? If I have the other profiles set up, then what does a Master Profile do, and how would I create one of those? I'm assuming since it only contains info for three other ALREADY EXISTING Profiles, there wouldn't be a need for much "input/setup" of the MASTER Profile, is this correct?

This info helps A LOT!

Do you have ANY IDEA WHY my store is only showing 1 out of 10 of my items and why it is showing it at its starting bid with no bids, when last time I checked there were 6 bids and 9 other active listings?

And... NONE of my store categories are listed. NONE. Can you answer my follow-ups and help with these two questions, buddy?

Thank you so much for your precious time.
