Hi, newbie here! I have been moving right along in building my auctions but a couple of things are bothering me and I hope you can help.

1. when I preview my auction why doesn't any of my refund or seller stuff show up? Is there anyway to see what the actual auction will look like without launching it to Ebay? Am I doing something wrong?

2. Ebay has a box that you check for new/used; Does Auctiva have a place to enter that value?

3. Could someone tell me about the checkout feature, if the buyer clicks pay now what happens? I think I understand the process, but hey I'm probably wrong!

Hi Donna

I'm seeing the preview window and the majority of the information that should be there, what I am not seeing, is my shipping/refund policy; I've stated my refund policy by clicking the link and entering it but it is just not displaying. I also entered it into the seller details box and that is also not displaying.
ideas?
Hi MaryB,

While your return policy is not displayed in the preview of your listings, it will still be present in the listings once they are posted to eBay.

However, the information from your seller details profile should be visible within the template in the listing preview. If this is not the case, I recommend filing a support case about this issue using the appropriate link on our help page:

Thanks Mike
The site is working as you describe; I just missed the little checkbox on a couple of auctions I'm preparing.

I have another question for you; I don't understand the insurance settings; When someone checks out does it automatically increase to reflect the correct level of insurance?
What does the the increase box mean on the insurance setting screen?

Thanks
Hi MaryB,

When a customer checs out and opts to purchase shipping insurance, the cost of the policy will be adjusted to the correct amount based on our insurance rates chart and the end of auction value.

The "Additional Charge Amount" field is only to be used if you would like to charge more for insurance that our rates chart prescribes. For example, if you want to charge $1.50 for a policy in the 0-$50 range, you would enter 20 cents in that field.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

Oh I get it

If I select optional insurance the buyer can select.
If I select required insurance its automatically added.
In either case, the amount is calculated based upon the final price of the auction.

You have been so helpful, I can't thank you enough.

I have 11 auctions ready to go and scheduled for mid sept.
My only worry now is some of the entries on the boards regarding buyers not being able to check out. Since I can't control that...I'll worry about it if/when I actually sell something.

Again, thanks for your time.
Mary
