Has anybody ever managed to get their listings up and running using Auctiva as I'm still having API errors and I'm now really angry as the latest one seems to claim that my eBay and PayPal accounts aren't supposedly linked even though they supposedly are linked...

This is the message that I get as a API error:
"eBay has not posted your item due to title, description, and/or eBay policy violation. Please contact Auctiva support for more information on why your listing has failed to post."

All I want at the end of the day is to be able to post my Listings without hassle and grief and for the so-called Error Check system to work without any problems at all.

I'm having to do these Listings at my local library as my PC isn't working at the moment so my time is limited and if it wasn't for all these API errors, I could have had my Listings up and running by now.

I still think that the service that Auctiva runs is a good one although it has its flaws in the form of the constant API errors and the problems with the Error Check system not showing any errors.

I don't know if I can help you, but I can sympathize. My first auction experience was a nightmare, but after multiple e-mails from Auctiva, and a couple live chat sessions with customer support at ebay, they finally solved my problem and I've had no problems since. I do recommend the live chat with ebay...very helpful. Good luck!

The latest reply that I got from Support about my API Error problem is that the reason why I'm having my latest one is because I've got the option to ship overseas ticked in the Shipping section for various parts of the world and the thing is, I want to be able to offer my auction to people from all over the world and not restrict it to people from just the UK so the answer I got wasn't helpful...

This is the answer in question:

The reason for the error eBay is returning on this listing is you provide the option for countries outside the UK in the "Ship to Location" of the Shipping tools area of the create listings page.

Once you have removed the international shipping options from the shipping tools your listing should pass eBay's check system.

As for eBay Live Chat, I can't seem to find one for eBay's UK site so I'm going to try ebay.com instead...
Hi borgmanjayce,

The "Error Check" functionality on the Auctiva listing creation page just checked to ensure that all the required fields are filled in and that the listing should post successfully given that eBay hasn't placed any restrictions on your account or the types of items you are listing.

Since you received the aforementioned error, it indicates that eBay rejected the posting attempt due to a restriction or limitation of some sort. If you contact our customer support team, we'll be able to retrieve the exact error message that eBay returned for you, which will tell you why the listing cannot be posted and/or what you need to change in order to post it.

You can contact our customer support team by completing the web form on the following page of our site: http://www.auctiva.com/help/requesthelp.aspx

Hello 2strokecrazycgr (72zx750r@comcast.net),

Your account was accessed by an unauthorized third party to list items without your authorization. At this time we have taken several steps to secure your eBay account. Rest assured that your credit card and banking information is safe on the eBay site, as this information is kept encrypted on a secure server and cannot be viewed by anyone.

This happend 2 time today and i was only able to get 4 item's listed

This has nothing to do with Auctiva and EVERYTHING to do with your account being hijacked (apparently) Are you sure this is a real email? I would be MUCH more concerned with this problem rather than worrying about listings right now. If someone got into your Ebay account your whole identity could be at stake...Paypal account, credit cards, etc.
I had the same thing happen to me but it had to do with the "token" that auctiva receives from Ebay validating your account. Sometimes and for some unknown reason this so called "token" gets lost and Auctiva cannot communicate and validate your info with Ebay. Go to Ebay and 'speak' online to their customer service who will walk you through the process of getting your token re-validated with Auctiva. Good luck!
Hi

something happend when Auctiva uploaded the new home page. all he() broke losse the site was very slow they put back the old home page the speed of the site came back. talked with live support told them what error i was getting they said you need a new token i did that. so it after i made a new token everthing went back to working the way it should. they said that they are going to work on the new home page today i hope they fix it before the upload it againg .

member_8880 it had to do with auctiva because after they uploaded the new home page your token was no good so ebay did not allow you to post no listing. they have some bad codeing on the new home page

Thank you
Chris

I spoke to somebody from eBay today about the situation with the token as jaclynhyde recommended that I do and I created a new token along with combining my PayPal and eBay accounts which I thought I had done but it seems I hadn't as I hadn't pressed a certain button so hopefully everything will be hunky-dory and I can sell my items on eBay UK...

In the meantime, I want to thank everybody that's given me advice and support here as I was worried that I was going to go even more balder than I am already! *LOL*
