As of sometime today I've beenexperiencing problems with displaying images.

I lost all images in ebay listings which have now re-appeared (hopefully for good I have litings ending in the next 15 hours!), but I am not seeing my images on Auctiva pages.

I hope this is not the Amazon effect all over agian. If not what can I do to fix this?

Hi Gnordo,

Thanks for letting us know about the behavior you are encountering. We are not experiencing any technical problems that would account for the behavior you are describing, nor are we receiving similar reports from other customers, so I suspect your internet connection is being flaky or something else is happening on your end that is interfering with the loading of your images.

If you are still experiencing this problem, please contact our customer support team by completing the web form on the following page of our site: http://www.auctiva.com/help/requesthelp.aspx

I thought of that.

I checked download rates from London, Maidenhead, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York, all checked-out at 4Mb which is normal for my local node. In fact the London and San Francisco links are usually slower, so no problems there.

No browser issues either.

I checked the Amazon S3 logs too, they showed no errors, so it looks like a problem with an intermediate routing node 'near' the S3 servers, possibly just sheer bandwidth oveload.

It seems to have cleared up now, but it's a little worrying as los of images in the last few hours of an auction can mean no bidding during the final phase so items may be sold for starting price only.

Last night I had a lens sell at a £22 starting price which is of a type normally selling for twice that. Could be just be a normal fluctuation in buying patterns, but loss of pictures would have certainly turned away anyone else interested in the item.
I've been having this problem now since 2nd August. No pictures in scrolling gallery since then. No images in my active listing on Auctiva. Items keep becoming searchable then unsearchable unless other ebayers know the item id!!! I can't revise ANY of my items - keep getting sent to Ebay sign in page whic won't let me sign in and Ebay haven't got a clue what's going on!! Tried allsorts.
Hi Ice_Maiden,

If the images are missing from your active listings, it would actually make sense that we haven't been able to generate scrolling gallery images to go with those listings. For further assistance with the issues you described with respect to your auction images and scrolling gallery images, I recommend contacting our customer support team by completing the web form on the following page of our site: http://www.auctiva.com/help/requesthelp.aspx

Your use of Auctiva would not have anything to do with your listings randomly becoming searchable and unsearchable, your inability to revise your items, or your inability to log-in to your eBay account. Therefore, for further assistance with those issues, I recommend following up with eBay's customer support group.

I too have been having problems with the photos. It all started 7/27. All the closed listings photos dissapeared after being imported. The gallery photos were deleted and when trying to replace them it won't let me. The problem still is not fixed. 8/5
I am having problems when uploading photos to new listing. about blank error and time out error.
******HELP******Is there any way to get rid of the BETA bulk image loader Auctiva has started using. The old uploader way way faster and I have been having SO MANY PROBLEMS with my images not loading properly in ebay. I know Mike that you have addressed this issue by saying that you've reported the problem to the uploader company....but is there anyway to get the old version back up until the bugs have been worked out with this BETA version?? PLEAASE PLEASE PLEASE I'm going crazy trying to list and having to individually upload EACH PICTURE!
Hi themodo,

The only uploader we removed when we installed the new Auctiva uploader is the old Java uploader, which was riddled with a variety of problems and didn't work for most users anyway. The Drag and Drop and Basic HTML uploaders can still be found by clicking the "Upload Images" button on under the "Manage Images" tab within your account. In any event, I regret to inform you that we will not be adding the old Java Uploader to the Auctiva website again.

The Drag and Drop Uploader and the Active X based version of the Auctiva Uploader, which is the version you'd be using if you logged in through Internet Explorer are good alternatives to the Java based version of the Auctiva uploader. However, if you are using Mac OS and cannot use the Internet Explorer, the java based Auctiva Uploader and the Basic HTML uploaders will be your only options.

If you have any additional questions or concerns regarding your Auctiva account, please feel free to contact our customer support team by completing the webform on the following page of our site: http://www.auctiva.com/help/requesthelp.aspx
