Insurance settings

Has anybody run into this problem lately? I have my Master Profile load for each auction. In it, I have Auctiva insurance disabled. I use the other insurance. Well, I require insurance on domestic shipping and it's optional on international. When the auction posts to eBay, it show as included in S&H. I go to revise the auction and it shows as required already; as it should. But when you pull the auction up again, it still reads included in S&H. Now just for giggles, I posted a test auction with not offered for insurance. That auction posted and showed not offered as it should. Any thoughts?

Hi turningpointent,

The behavior you have described is actually normal for the eBay shipping calculator. When you list insurance as "required", the shipping calculator will say insurance is included and the additional insurance cost will be built into the shipping estimate.

On the other hand, if you specify insurance as "included", the shipping calculator will also say insurance is included but no additional cost for insurance will be added to the shipping estimate.

Thanks Mike! I just received a reply back from eBay today telling me the same thing. Looks like they have changed their format a little, not sure when, but just kind of surprised me. Thanks again for all your help. Sure do appreciate it!
