I list a lot of collectible (unused, expired) tickets on ebay. The way the insurance rules are written, it seems that these are excluded from coverage. I'm guessing that this exclusion was meant for live tickets to upcoming events. Is there any way to get this exclusion amended in a similar way that collectible currency and coins can be insured? I'd much rather give my $$ to Auctiva than the USPS.
Hello nctaco,

That is a great question, and let me clarify the coverage offered by Auctiva Shipping Insurance. Tickets ARE covered for being "Lost, Stolen, or Damaged" (which is our standard coverage for items). We do NOT have a coverage term if the item is delivered 'late'. What we are trying to avoid is someone filing a claim for an event where the tickets were not delivered on time.

I personally assure you that your Auctiva Shipping Insurance coverage of 'collectible tickets' will be honored.

nctaco,

Auctiva Shipping Insurance is on a per item basis so you would need to purchase 4 separate insurance policies in this situation.

...and, yes, purchasing the insurance for these items through USPS would be cheaper, since you are able to combine these items into one insurance purchase.

We may add this option once we add combined invoices, but, until then, it's not an option.
