Confused I would like to know this also! Even though I don't need the listing designer, I like to use gallery and subtitle on my auctions, which would still be a $.20 saving per auction! I also like to use the Pro Pack from time to time to drive more traffic to my listings, which is a huge savings! Can anyone help us out on this one?
Smile Thanks Cara!

So, does that mean that if I add gallery and subtitle to my auction that eBay will only charge me $.65 (the price of the value pack) instead of the $.85 that it would cost to add them seperately? If anybody has tried this and seen what eBay actually charged them we would love to hear from you!

I also want to give a BIG Thank You to everybody at Auctiva, I've never seen the site fly so smoothly on a discounted listing day! Thanks for the continued hard work! Wink

Yes, ssent. That is exactly right! Provided that you are choosing eBay extras that are included in special deals on eBay.

And thanks for the kind words too.

Frown I DIDN'T GET THE PACKAGE PRICE!!!

I had a listing end yesterday that I had put subtitle and gallery on through Auctiva when listing it. The price for purchasing those seperately is $0.85, but with the value package it would only be $0.65. The price that eBay charged me was $0.85, which means that if I choose the items through Auctiva seperately, then I am billed the seperate price and NOT the package price. The only way I can see to get around this at this point would be to either list the item through eBay, or list the item through Auctiva without the gallery and subtitle, then edit the listing after it has posted to eBay and add the value package. Does anybody have a better solution? Is there plans for Auctiva to add this option to their listing page? PLEASE HELP!!!!!
ssent -

I am sorry. Apparently, listing designer is necessary to complete the Value Pack on eBay and we don't offer that as an option. My apologies.

For the future, if we offer every marketing tool that eBay offers in a package, the discounts will apply. But, it has to have everything in the package in order for eBay to give the discount.

To receive the Value Pack discount you would post through Auctiva and revise your item through eBay to add listing designer.

Smile PERFECT, I FIGURED IT OUT, THANKS CARA!!!

For the rest of you that would like to use the Value Pack here is the easiest way to do it:

  • 1. - List your item through Auctiva with the Gallery and Subtitle option added.
  • 2. - When you are done listing log into eBay, go to your "My eBay" page and click on your username.
  • 3. - Click on "Items for sale" (this makes it easier than the My eBay page because you can see which of your items has a subtitle and gallery on it).
  • 4. - Find an item that needs to be revised and click on the title.
  • 5. - Click on "Revise your item".
  • 6. - Scroll down and click on "Edit pictures & details" or, if your item already has bids or offers, click on "Add details".
  • 7. - Scroll down and check the box for "Listing designer" making sure that the theme is highlighted as None and the layout is highlighted as Standard, which should be the default setting (when you check the box it should say just below that "You've added Value Pack") NOTE: You can also click on the "Add Now" button in the box for Value Pack, which you will have to do if your item already has bids or offers.
  • 8. - Click on "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
  • 9. - On the bottom of the next page make sure it shows a credit of $0.20 and click on "Submit".
  • 10. - To revise another item in this manner, click on the down arrow of your back button and click on the line that starts with "eBay Seller:" (You can tell which ones you've already done because the item link will change colors if you have previously clicked on it).

THAT'S IT! With a fast internet connection and a little experience it only takes a few seconds and you save $0.20 per listing!!!

Tony, this is a pain in the but but I THANK YOU for being so specific. As a new Auctiva user, I really appreciate the detailed steps. Ebay live help is USELESS. I was on with them for 1/2 hour last night and they had no idea about any of this. They are clueless. Thanks again, back to revising listings. Michele
