Hi,

I'm getting an error when I try to list using Auctiva - I've copied it below. I'm copying an old listing which worked fine so I can't find what the issue is. I'm listing to the UK version of eBay.

Thanks for any help!

Mark

Attention Seller:
Thank you for choosing to sell on eBay.

To help protect both buyers and sellers, we may place limits on the way sellers can list certain items. You can only list this item using the site you registered on, and you can only post to that country.

We're sorry to disappoint you, but you'll need to go back and change the listing details.

To make the most of global trade on eBay, please make sure your PayPal account is verified and linked to your eBay account.

To find out how to do this, just click on the country you’re registered with:

Australia | Austria | Belgium - Dutch | Belgium - French | Canada | Canada - French | France | Germany | Hong Kong | Ireland | Italy | Malaysia | Netherlands | Philippines | Poland | Singapore | Spain | Switzerland | United Kingdom | United States

We look forward to a successful relationship with you.

Hmmm...it's kind of vague isn't it. It almost sounds like your paypal & ebay accts are not linked (this is a known glitch that has been going on since the beginning of summer)

OR...could you possibly be signed in on the wrong site? Like signed in to ebay.com to list on ebay.uk??

OR they want you to verify your PP acount...Do you have a Premier account? You need to upgrade from a personal act in order to sell.

I'm just throwing out my best guesses here Confused
I know this is an old thread, but I am getting the same thing come up - but only on a few of 75+ items I just listed. I am signed into the correct site (ebay.co.uk) and my PP account is a verified premiere acct... the only thing I can think of is that these two particular items are by one particular designer - coincidence, possilby, but I am wondering if it has something to do with VERO?

Anyway, if anyone knows why this message comes up and can shed some more light on this for me, I'd be very grateful!
Hi All,

API error such as the one posted above are generated by eBay so we don't have all the details on what causes them to be generated. However, as member_8880 pointed out, that perticular API error seems to have a few different possible workarounds. It is certainly not uncommon for errors such as this to be returned specifically for certain designer or brand name items.

As far as I can tell, the possible workarounds for the error mentioned by the original poster would be to remove any international shipping options or ship-to locations, make sure the item is being posted to the eBay site the seller is registered on, and making sure that the seller's Paypal account is verified and linked to his/her eBay account. It also sounds like the seller only has to have a verified Paypal account that is linked to his/her eBay account if offering the item internationally.

If you exhaust all the intuitive workarounds for this error, I recommend contacting eBay's customer support team to see if they can shed any light on what else you may be able to do to get around it. It may be a good idea to ask to speak to someone in Trust and Safety because I believe these restrictions fall into the domain of that department.

If you have any other questions regarding your Auctiva account, please feel free to contact our customer support team using the web form on the following page of our site: http://www.auctiva.com/help/requesthelp.aspx
