Making Text Flash on and off?

Your best bet is to use an animated GIF and insert it into your description or template using the img src="YOUR_IMAGE_URL__HERE" tag

If you can't make an animated gif yourself, there are some out there that can be used. I'm not sure where, but they do exist. Try doing some web searches for free shipping graphics, etc.

There may be a way to make text blink with HTML, but if there is, be warned that those codes don't always work with all browsers.

What about just making the text bold and a bright color while you're working on the blinking idea?

FYI, the first one just showed as plain-jane text that didn't blink, and the marquee didn't show any text at all, when viewed in Firefox on my Mac

And that's exactly why I suggested that an image be used.
