Message says it's Thursday Night??

We're not doing maintenance, but there is a network issue connecting to the database right now that is causing sporadic issues right now.

We put up that message to warn people of the issues.

It really needs to have different text...

Will post back as soon as I know everything is resolved.

Just talked to the sys admin and they are saying we should have things back online within 30 minutes.

Just so you know...

Auction images are displaying as they should, no problems there.

The store window will give a message that it is currently updating for the time being.

Figures I'd try to schedule an Auction for the most OFF NIGHT I could pick to avoid the weekend rush and Thursday Spin.

I was just about to ask the same question. I was delighted to see that it had already been answered! Auctiva has been wonderful lately!!! I am loving it all over again!

Yeah, kinda wondering the same thing. But hey, if today is really Thursday, then tomorrow's Friday...I like that! Auctiva calendar works for me!!

I would recommend people stay off the site for the next 30 minutes and then check back here at that point to see if we have posted that things are resolved.

Yes, all jokes aside, they've really done a great job lately. Glad they recognize it's a really important time for Sellers to make or break their year.

Alert Alert.....is the next big ebay discount day due tomorrow or Thursday? History and recent bi-week cycles would suggest it's possible.

Ugh, I thought I was losing my mind. Yes, the message needs to be changed....updated for each issue! How frustrating!! A quiet night of the week and we cant even get our listings posted. It's bad enough that half the time the spell check doesn't work (only during really off, off hours), but now this. Hopefully all will be fixed soon. Thanks for your quick attention to this problem

Originally, 30 minutes from my post. Just got an update though and they want to do some backup to be safe, so now an additional 20-30 minutes.

I'd hold off using the site until 5pm PST to be safe right now. Better to be offline doing something else than sitting around waiting for my time estimates to be perfect.

Good question about scheduled listings from a user... here was my answer as to if their scheduled listings will post or not:

For scheduled listings, it depends on what value you used for the option on the schedule page that says:

"If item is not posted at scheduled time, retry for:"

Let's say we come back online at 5pm, if your retry value was set to 30 minutes, then all auctions that you scheduled before 4:30 will fail to post. Auctions after 4:30 (prob 4:35 to be safe) should post.

Hope that makes sense.

For items that you used "post now" from the create listing page, they will not post. You'll have to reattempt posting those auctions if they have not already made it to eBay.

Some what lucky I live in Hawaii and the time difference is not as bad as the mainland but very frustrating because all of us are trying to get our items up before the close of the holiday season, which us online would be probably Dec 17 to get items to buyers.
