Charge those not using Auctiva as third party auction software for their use of the scrolling or other style gallery housed by Auctiva.

And trust me, there are ALOT of persons out there.

A simple search looking just for the gallery (i.e., certain search terms must be used, not just the term Auctiva in title and description) as versus those who are actually using Auctiva for their third party service show a large amount of auctions/non using Auctiva users.

Plain and simple. Charge them!!!!

Let em use their own third party gallery or eBay's gallery. Why should Auctiva support a user who pays for another third party service?

There are plenty out there that don't use Auctiva for their third party service yet..they use the scrolling gallery, once again I state...Charge for the use of the gallery if they aren't using Auctiva as their main third party service.

If their photo's are in a gallery then they are being housed on Auctiva.

I'd be happy to pay monthly..I've always stated this and meant it.

I realize how Auctiva makes money and I do understand the process. I've stated it from the beginning..I would pay for this service!

Take care, Donna

The problem is not money. We have just not executed very effectively in response to our growth. I am confident that we will get these issues under control very soon, and the solution we are targeting is much more scalable to account for future growth. We already changed our provider (Herakles) and have plenty of bandwidth... and now we are working to define a far more robust image hosting solution.

Thanks for the suggestion. Smile

Bill - It's great to see your posting in the community boards! Information that you have provided regarding the moving of image servers, fast growth, etc is good to hear - even if it means that there are some troubles on the way. It is very frustrating when we get answers back from the tech support people that " the problem is being worked on and will be resolved ASAP! " The info you left about what is going on is worth 100 times more that the generic statements we get from support. I know it is frustrating when the service is suddenly not working and your tech support is getting tons of e-mails stating "IT'S BROKERN AGAIN!!". However, for a lot of us, the scrolling window and image storage is a great service we do not want to loose. Anything you guys can do to make the service as robust as possible will gain cheers from everyone that is using the Auctiva service! Hopefully, the future of Auctiva will be very promising!!!

I'd rather they charge those of us using the service (if it meant the problems could be straightened out).

I do see what you're saying and I do understand the free advertising standpoint.

I still disagree.

Even though money is not an issue with Auctiva.....I still say charge those using the scrolling gallery. ESPECIALLY those that are using another third party service that comes with it's own galleries.

What's a buck or two to them a month to use the gallery of their choice?

And yep..I've said it all along, I'd pay Auctiva...no problem-oh there. So we do concur on that issue Rick.

Have a great weekend,

Especially note several of the rules that state varied links in auctions and the number of links an auction can have to a third party.

Alot of persons aren't aware of the rules and regs regarding links in their auction.
