I brought a item thur ebay and paid thur this company now the ebay user has jumped ship, on paypal i know how to get the money back but on this site i have no clue where to start. please help me out thanks

What company? The seller?
If so, you can do as kbalona suggested and file and unpaid item dispute through eBay. If you paid by credit card you can also file for a chargeback.
I take it to mean the seller was using Auctiva Checkout maybe?
Auctiva has nothing to do with the seller, you have to file with ebay and/or paypal.

Do Paypal first. If the seller doesn't respond, they will refund your money. And if the seller can't come up with a delivery confirmation you'll receive you're money. Stay on Paypal about this. Do not give them an inch.
Also call Paypal after filing online. The last time I called, they immediately recredited my account while I was on the phone. No waiting period.
Then right after you file with Paypal...go to eBay and file against the seller.
