Hi all. I could use a little (actually a lot) of help. My computer got a virus last week, and I could not get rid of it to save my life. I ended up taking it in to a "Professional" shop. They got rid of the virus, but without asking, they upgraded my browser to Internet Explorer 7.

I have been using Auctiva with IE 6 for the last year, with no problems. I could not even sign in with IE 7 with the settings I had before. I finally lowered the security level to lowest, and then I got signed in. I can get to my folders, images, etc.., but when I try to open a particular folder, or update my preferences, IE goes into freeze mode.

I downloaded Firefox, and cannot even get signed in on that browser. Tried tweaking the settings, but no help.

Could someone let me know what settings I need to set to get either of these browsers working?

Better yet, does anyone know where I could go to get IE 6 back? I checked M-Soft, and all I find there is service packs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Have you checked to see if the shop possibly turned on your firewall (If you have one)? I'm not sure if that could cause your problem right off without knowing more details but it might be worth checking out. If you can't get it to work I would call the shop and explain your situation and see if they changed any other settings since you could use it before. Good Luck.
