Need help with posting to Ebay store

Hi Kyleer. Have you imported your store categories? Go to My Account, then eBay Settings on the right, 2nd from the bottom. In there you can update your store categories for first starting and whenever you change them.

As for your listings not showing, this is normal. eBay confirms your account is safe when you first start using a third party listing service like Auctiva. Name brands take even longer. Then they will be indexed by eBay and show up in searches. This is usually 6-8 hours. For me, this went on for quite awhile (a month or so) and now they post immediately. As long as you can see them in My eBay, all is well. That is, once your store categories are all lined out too. Hope that makes sense.

Hi Shadeaux, Firstly thanks for replying. I have done the update thingy in My Account. So what you are saying is, is that it is normal that my categories aren't showing in Ebay? that they will show up later? sorry if i am doubling up, i am just getting confused. Have I done the right thing setting up the categories in Ebay by just Adding them, or is there something else I am supposed to do. Sorry to be a pain, and THANKYOU

You're sure welcome Kyleer. I thought you meant they're not showing up in searches. Ok, are they store items and they aren't going into the categories in your eBay store? Do I have that right?

If so, when you're creating the store listing, are you selecting main and secondary store categories? That may sound like a dumb question but I missed this when I first started, which is why I'm asking. I don't know what else would cause them to not categorize correctly other than these things though.

To clarify about the search... the way I check is to view my own other listings to see when they become searchable. Once they show there, I know others can see them too. The store categories should have nothing to do with it if you can already see them in the store and beyond My eBay.
