I'm new to eBay, new to Auctiva, in fact new to online selling in general. I've been playing around with templates and creating listings on Auctiva, just to get confident with it all, but I have a couple of queries ...

1. As I am listing on eBay Australia site, I cannot/do not want to offer AmEx as a payment option - how do I get rid of this on Auctiva site?

2. Through Paypal I can only offer Bank deposit, Visa and Mastercard payment options, not all of the extra options Paypal through Auctiva offers - how do I fix this?

3. Do I need to post my listing through Auctiva and then revise that listing through eBay to make these changes, or leave my payment options blank and then add them through eBay by revising my listing?

Maybe I have answered my own questions, but if anyone can clarify this it would be much appreciated! Thanks

Hi bohemian_kitten,

1) I suspect you are referring to the presence of American Express as a payment option on your listing preview pages. This issuse has been confirmed a a "bug" with our preview page so, fortunately, your listings will not reflect this payment option once posted to eBay.

2) Just check the box next to "Accept Paypal Payments" and enter your Paypal email address in the "Paypal Notification Will Go To:" field when creating your listings to indicate that you accept Paypal payments. When paying through Paypal, your buyers will only be willing to pay via the methods permitted in your Paypal account.

3) Nope! Given the answers to your last two questions, revising your auctions after they have posted to eBay shouldn't be necessary.

Ok, so I have another stupid question.

If, in my listing, I choose "Bank deposit" and "Show buyers your bank account number in checkout", and in my eBay preferences, I have entered my bank account details, will it show these details when the buyer goes to checkout, or do I have to enter these details in the payment instructions?

I know, **there are no dumb questions, just dumb people** and I am one of them! Razz
Hi bohemian_kitten,

Yes Wink Since you have chosen "Bank Deposit" as a payment option and have selected "Show buyers your bank account number in checkout", I believe your bank account details will be relayed to your buyers during the checkout process.

So...there's no reason to add your bank account details to the "Payment Instructions" field when creating your listings.
