Hello to all. Thanks in advance for any help.

I've been Ebay-ing for 3-4 years, with 59 (non-repeat) deals, and a 100% feedback rating. Only about 20-25% of my deals are as a seller. I've only sold personal items I don't need, and I've had good success, getting at least my minimum, and most times more than I really expected. I use only FedEx Ground for shipping, because I have an account with them, and they've been great, so I don't use Ebay shipping, obviously. I also use only PayPal, and I have had no problems.

What brings me here is that I saw lots of listings using Auctiva, and they looked good, plus the savings on listing features, like photos (I usually include six) and enhancements. I don't really need the checkout or insurance features. I have already deleted the Auctiva checkout feature in My Profile.

btw, I've read over the forums for a few days, and it looks like there are some problems with folks' listings. I realize that most of the posts are from folks with problems, and not from people where everything is working fine.

So, I guess my question is, other than saving a few bucks on my few listings, why Auctiva? Will my "My Ebay" still work the same, or do I have to come back to Auctiva to see how my listing is doing? Some mentioned delays in the listing showing up, so is that a big concern?

I would appreciate any advice for someone who is only going to list an item or two, every now and then. I'm open to any new ideas or suggestions. Even though I've had no problems with ebay, I could stand to save a few bucks per listing, so long as it wouldn't take more time than it does now (I have a tendency to describe all my listings in great detail-My marketing background), and would be just as easy to track. Anyone, anyone? :+)

Thanks much.

Hi bak2bakmarketing,

Welcome to Auctiva! Our service provides a robust set of listing and management tools so, if you are taking full advantage of Auctiva, you should be able to do just about anything you would normally do through your eBay account through your Auctiva account. However, using Auctiva will not change the functionality of your My eBay page, so you will still be able to do whatever you'd like through your My eBay page as well.

When you list items through Auctiva, you are still responsible for paying the standard eBay fees, however, you can save quite a bit of money when listing through Auctiva through the use of our free cross promotional scrolling gallery, free unlimited image hosting, free templates, free scheduling, free super-sized images, integrated checkout, and more. You can also place as many images as you'd like in each listing through Auctiva without being assessed any additional image fees by eBay.

The delays in listings showing up in eBay's search results pages that other have mentioned are actually not associated specifically with their use of Auctiva. When you post listings to eBay, depending on the details of your seller account and the types of items you are selling, it may take a few hours from when your items are posted for them to show up on eBay's search results pages due to eBay's "indexing" procedures. Additional information on this topic is available on the following page of eBay's help index: http://pages.ebay.com/help/find/questions/wheres-my-item.html

Hi bak2bakmarketing,

Yes indeed, when you submit your listings through Auctiva, they should appear in search results just as quickly as if you were to submit them directly through eBay as far as I know. You could potentially check with eBay's customer support team to make sure, but they tend to be pretty secretive about their "Trust & Safety" measures, so I'm not completely sure they'd be able to confirm or verify this.

Creating a few listings to get the feel of Auctiva and see if the service is one you'd like to continue using is definitely a good idea. There is a bit of a learning curve when adopting a new system though, so don't get discouraged if it feel like it take you a little longer than normal to create your listings at first.
