New user wants out - please advise

CeeGee, I would strongly advise you to rethink that decision. While it is disturbing to see your listings vanish for a while, it is only temporary, and in my humble opinion, the benefits of using Auctiva (free scheduling, free multiple pictures, great scrolling gallery etc) far outweigh the inconvenience eBay cause by doing that.

I also would suggest that you re-think that decision. Auctiva is one of the best things that ever happened to ebay. While you are waiting for your listings to re-appear, and they will, how about browsing the auctiva site, and learn about other things that are available to you. Such as domain registration at a very reasonable price.

Don't forget, this is the fault of EBAY...I've been selling on ebay since 2005, even had powerseller status last summer, but sometimes my listings will still take hours to show in a search!

Yes there should be a warning, and we users are trying to get one implemented, but for now all you can do is wait Auctiva is a GREAT free service, hang in there a little while longer you'll be happy that you did. The bonuses far outweigh this one drawback...and it only happens once, after the first time things should run pretty smoothly

Thanks for all your advice... I'm undecided how I want to proceed at the moment. Still waiting for my listings to reappear! If I was to leave my Auctiva account open, would I be able to stil list directly to ebay when I wanted to, or do all listings have to go through Auctiva going forward?

CeeGee, yes you can still list direct on eBay, and your listing will still be drawn into your Active Listings view on Auctiva - obviously if you do list direct on eBay, you will not be able to use the Auctiva multiple pictures and scheduling facilities though.

If your listings are still not appearing in the search window, I doubt it will be much longer, as I guess it has been about 6 hours now?

Thanks again for the info Pete. Not quite at the 6 hour mark - just feels like it! Think I need to clock off for the day and come back in the morning, I've been driving myself mad checking my shop!

Shoot I had a nice encouraging post made to you CeeGee, but when I went to post it it said I had a server error....
Anyway I am not much ahead of you. Started last weekend. I am an old dog, so hang in there, if I can do it you can do it. And everyone who uses it swears by it.
They apparently have some politics going on with ebay, so that can't be changed yet.
Keep asking questions..I need to have answers too and everyone elses helps everyone else.

BTW anyone know why I can't log into the Community when I'm using Mozilla?

Actually, Member880, it does not always happen "just once". Every single item I listed in the past four days has been delayed at least 8 hours in searches.

It sucks.

That happens every time you list, anywhere you list, including eBay. Has nothing to do with Auctiva. I believe there is a class action lawsuit against eBay over this.

Sorry if I was wrong...My stuff lately appears within minutes (it's NOT anything to do with Auctiva)
Jeff is right, there is a lawsuit now, big article in Auctionbytes.com.

I have been using Auctiva for about 4 months +/- and have not had any major problems! (hope I did not bring myself bad luck) but before that I was just listing via eBay and the time and $ I have saved using auctiva is wonderful! You have to pay for EVERYTHING on eBay..schedule/pictures ect. SO right now as bad as it seems I would stick with it!
