Please help! I've listed items on ebay using the auctiva website listing facility. I scheduled everything to list tonight, and so far the template background is coming out very wide (ie double the usual size).
I selected the standard template of 'certificate'. Is this template just a wide one by design or is there a setting i've not clicked?

All help very welcome on this one. Link to my first item - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagen...0114306180&rd=1&rd=1

if that doesnt work my shop is called HappyApple Cards in ebay - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Happy-Apple-Cards and all the newly listed items tonight are auctiva listings and have the same problem as above.

Ok I read some more of the previous posts similar to my problem and have managed to catch the last 3 scheduled listings before they go live. I had my images grouped in pairs and if you switch it to vertical it seems to fix it. Now have a problem trying to figure out how to change the listings that are now live... ah well the joy... i'll just keep reading the help...
Hi, try getting rid of the catagory box, that's taking up pixels. Not sure but you might have to edit that out from ebay. Here is a previous post that should help for changing an active listing:

I find the following to be the easiest way to revise a listing when the revision involves photos or changes to the description:

Note: I tried to make this clear and simple for any of our fellow Auctiva friends that might be new to computers.

Go to your saved listing folder and open the listing you want to edit. Make any revisions that you need including adding or deleting photos. Save the listing.

Go back to the saved listings page and check the box to the left of that listing. Then click the blue box above the listings that says "GET HTML". When the new window opens click "select all". This will highlight all of the text inside the box. Right cick inside the box and click "copy". You can minimze this window or just leave it for now in case you need it again while working in ebay.

Go to ebay, find the listing and click to revise listing. On the next page click "edit description" and you should have a box with the HTML for the listing on the left of the page. Right click inside the box and click "select all". All of the text will be highlighted. Right click the highlighted text and click on "paste". The new HTML you copied from the revised listing has now been inserted. Scoll down and click save changes. The next page will show you the revised listing. Confirm that it is the way you want and scroll down click submit revision. You are done.

Let me know if you need more help.

COZI COLLECTIBLES
Hi ninth_wave,

Thanks for that, I've now taken my catagory list out of the listings via ebay. It has cut the listing's width down to say twice my monitor size now. (viewing from a laptop) lol.

I think theres still a problem with the auctiva template but thanks for the link to the cozi collectibles info. If i find out what needs changing at least i'll be able to do it.
Hi Binky-jenni -

You had a lot of unnecessary code in your description and Seller Details as well as some that messes with the set up of the templates - it would take too long to go into it but my best short advice is to use the simplest HTML you can for your descriptions and Seller Details unless you know what you are adding and it all interacts together and if at all possible hand code instead of using a program to help because they usually end up hurting you by adding a lot of unnecessary code in the background.

Other than that -

I fixed your code Smile I will email it to you as it is too long to put here and the Practice Board is down today. Watch your junk mail for Auctiva.

Hope that helps!
