Hi,

I'm not sure if this is an Auctiva issue or an eBay issue and I'm tending more toward it being an eBay issue but here goes:

I posted a group of items from Auctiva onto eBay last night, previewed my listings and they looked fine. Today, I've discovered that two of the listings had only partially loaded their pics. So I went into eBay's revise feature where it provides a preview of the template. The pictures are all there. So I come back to Auctiva to make sure all of the pictures in my two listings where there and they were.

I guess my Auctiva questions are:

1. Is anyone aware of this happening when Auctiva-generated listings are only partially loading pics that are embedded in a template?

2. Could my pics be too big to fit into the template? I believe they are 300 px wide. They weren't too big when the listings went up so this question might be moot.

3. Should I go ahead and do what was suggested in response to jjchef's posting on August 23 about revising the html in my/Auctiva's Saved Listings folder, copy then paste it to my/eBay's revise item feature? That question was regarding revising pics from listings already posted on eBay.

I'm hoping that this is a "burp" on eBay's part so I'll wait until later to revisit my two items there and see if all the pics show up. In the meantime, I thought I'd post here in the event that others are noticing the same problem and searching for a suggested workaround or explanation for why it might be happening.

Thanks.

~ Ech.

(Hoping this makes sense)

Update @ 10:10 PM (EST):

The two items are still only loading one or two pics.

Also, I tried the process involved and went to "Get HTML" at my Saved Listings. I clicked on the box next to the targeted item. Naturally, it's not working. When I click on "Get HTML" it doesn't give me the box containing the html. I'm currently thinking that I need to enable something somewhere to allow popups but I have no clue what it might be. I've checked under Internet Options and I'm not seeing anything that I can enable.

Is there a workaround for getting the html for my two items? My listings are active and not looking very professional at the moment.

Nextday update:

Ok, one problem solved and I'm not sure what changed but my firewall was set to block Ads with regard to popup/popunders, banners, and animation.

I first unblocked popup/popunders. It didn't resolve either issue (eBay pics or Auctiva's "get html").

I did a test and asked the firewall to let me know when an Ad was attempting to load. Went out to one of the live listings on eBay that was giving me problems. Sure enough, the pictures it was attempting to load said they were Ads. So I unblocked Banners, went back to the listing and lo' and behold the pictures loaded.

It did not, however, solve the "get html" problem on Auctiva. So I unblocked the final option on my firewall which was Animation, went back to my saved listings on Auctiva, clicked on the "get html" button. The screen did its usual flip but didn't produce the popup box containing the html.

I'm all out of knoweable options now. So if anyone has suggestions on how to "get html" to work, I'd appreciate your sharing it with me. I don't need it now, but will probably have use for it down the road.

Manually add the site www.auctiva.com into your accepted pop ups. That's what normally works on the get html.

Most of the probs that are questioned here come down to a few things..pop up blockers in firewalls/virus checkers/security suites.

Another is not dumping cache, history and temp files then rebooting. If you use IE it stores it in a cookie and will eventually not be viewable so thus the need to cleanse the computer. Sometimes it won't allow any pics to be viewed that are stored via cookies and you get the red pizza boxes and sometimes you (not a viewer on another computer that doesn't have the cookies stored) will also see partial templates but that's once again due to the stored cookies.

Ok..which browser are you using? This solves alot of our newer members problems. Lots have found more luck with Firefox or Opera than IE. You might want to give it a try. Any browser that is windows based will load faster but you'll still receive the errors as noted by many members.

Hope my answers helped you.

Good Luck,
Donna
