Every time I try to list something (Old or new listing) I keep getting this error message:

First category in your Listing is invalid. Most likely because eBay has deprecated it.Please select another category, to avoid problems posting your listing.

I have no idea what it means. I've also tried to alter everything on my listing, but to no avail.
Can anyone enlighten me?

Hi Community,

We just conducted a category update last Thursday so, if you are receiving that message when you open your existing saved listings, it is most likely that the category you selected is no longer a valid eBay category. However, if you are receiving this error when creating new listings with categories selected from our "Browse" or "Search" tools, this is something we'd need to investigate further.

Here is what I was told by Auctiva customer support...this is a little frustrating as I'll have to change about 85 listings now BY HAND!!!

Thanks for contacting us regarding this matter, and I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. I reviewed your account, as well as eBay's lister page, and it appears this error message is being returned because category # 147176 is no longer a valid eBay category. Therefore, you will have to select a new category in order to post your listings successfully. The new category number for video games is # 139973.

Also, the "Find and Replace" option cannot be used to change the categories specified in your saved listings so, in order to change the categories specified in these listings, you will need to edit each listing individually.
