Regular Auction eBay fee .45? Should be .40

Hi all,

I realize eBay's fees for items in the category of $1-$9.99 just went up to .40. Yeah, I'm not happy about it either!

My question is why does Auctiva's estimated eBay's fees show as .45? It is for an 8.99 book with no additional goodies such as gallery, etc. I have triple checked my listing to make sure that I didn't accidentally select an option

Is this just a glitch and it really is .40 or have I missed something?

I've been seeing this 45 cents too, when Auctiva estimates fees.

I was just going to contact eBay about this same thing. Sometimes it is 40 cents and then another it is 45 cents. Is it eBay or Auctiva?

It would have to be Auctiva because Auctiva's fee calculator is not updated real-time from ebay. For instance during a 10-cent listing day, if you list something for .99 Auctiva fee calculator will say .20, but it's not accurate.

Then why is it one listing is 45 cents and a few minutes later another is 40 cents and a few minutes later another is 45 cents again?

The main thing to remember is that Auctiva is not actually charging anything on this end. It's just an estimation of the eBay fees but all that happens over on eBay's end.

This issue has been confirmed as a "bug" that we will most likely be addressing with our next site update. In the mean time, you can rest assured that you will only be charged the appropriate listing fees based on eBay's fee structure.
