Auctiva has taken away the "Apply" button on the schedule listing screen. This is nice and saves time, but it comes with a bug thus far. You can not use the back button when posting incrementally. You can go back, but you can not change the time and schedule more incrementally. It comes up with the error: "An error has occurred during the processing of your request. Please try again or file a support case if this problem continues"

The "Apply" button that was on the Schedule Listing Page, would allow you to make all these adjustments because it would refresh the screen with the new times. Now without that "Apply", we are stuck having to make our postings one batch at a time, which takes MUCH longer.

WE MISS THE "APPLY" BUTTON!!! Frown

Who else has this error?

Thank you,

Hi Heidi,

Thanks for letting us know. This issue has been confirmed as a bug and has been referred to our engineering department for correction. I'm not exactly sure how the scheduler page will be changed to account for this problem, but I anticipate this issue being resolved in some form as part of our next release, which will take place in January or February of 2008.

Any additional questions or concerns? Please file a support request using the appropriate link on our help page: http://www.auctiva.com/free-auction-software-help/help.aspx

I am having same problems too and which is reallyy time consuming and it is really easy to messed up. If ou are lisiting alot of item thats almost imposibel to do that woth this error.
I hope this issuue will be solved ASAP. At least until you guys fix the problem return it back to the earlier vesion which is with "apply button"
Please fix this as soon as possible. Having to wait until February possibly is absolutely unacceptable. This is a very serious issue for people who list many items and it is making the listing scheduler pretty much unusable.

If it can't be fixed, please revert back to the old system with the apply button as suggested so that we can use the scheduler again.

Again, this is a very, very serious problem with one of the most key features of Auctiva, please do not underestimate it.

thanks,

I found a work around for this!!!! thank God!

The engineers at Auctiva said it would take some time to fix this, so I tried a bunch of stuff and found a work around. I tried all other browsers and Firefox is the only one the works like this as far as I can tell.

Here it is:

Download Mozilla Firefox as your browser.
Open Auctiva in Firefox and start scheduling as normal.
When you want to use the back button and change a time or date, just right click somewhere under the time on a blank space of the page and hit "reload". This seems to do the same thing as the old apply button and you will see that your "Schedule" button will become lighted again. You can then go ahead and hit schedule without the error coming up.

This has saved me literally thousands of clicks and it seems like Firefox actually runs this faster than Internet explorer did. I'll continue using IE for everything else, but I'll schedule in Auctiva using Firefox by the method I described above.

I did run into one strange thing.....when I was scheduling for late in January and got to January 29th, I started getting a box that popped up saying that the date format was invalid. I just had to hit OK and it let me schedule them, but it was a few more clicks for the last days in Jan.

Hope it works for you all like it did for me.

-Matt
