Sometimes when I look at one of my auctions as a customer would, I can click on an item in the scrolling window that hasn't even been indexed by eBay yet. Thats a little bit of Bonus on our item visibility for us. The reason I checked was I had a sale that was in a group of items that still weren't showing in search. I guess how much extra visibility we get would depend ion how close to the updating of the scrolling window was. I think it might also affect if a customer clicked to see your other items at the sellethon counter. Maybe they just found it in my Auctiva store.

Hi booklady, regarding finding your items for sale via the scrolling gallery, wouldn't that be considered as a direct link to an active listing. Therefore it does not rely on eBay search engines and so the wait for indexing does not matter?

Anyway I prefer to link across to my Auctiva store front from within my listing wherever possible as I do not need or want to pay for gallery pictures for low value items. The Auctiva store front only needs eBay 'header' pictures to display your wares.

So I am trying to encourage buyers to use my Auctiva store front once they have found an item of mine by a general search.

An eBay store front on its own without gallery pictures is not very inspiring to say the least, I just use the store subscription to get some identity established with logo on listings and invoices and of course to get the option of store inventory format when I want it.

On a different note, the scrolling gallery seems a bit stuck in image loading today especially this morning (UK time), not sure whether that was due to many of my listing ending last night or a general hiccup, have you experienced this today ?
Hi ChooChooGuy. What I was trying to say was that items showed in my scrolling gallery when they wouldn't show up searching by title. When they finally showed up in search almost exactly 6 hours after posting, they already had a few hits. I sold a BIN that was with a group of 3 that I posted at the same time. The other 2 weren't indexed yet so it kind of looks like someone might have accessed and bought through the scrolling window.

I also use gallery on only my pricier listings. I don't have an eBay store. If it doesn't sell at auction, I take it to the Flea Market. I don't want to store it.

I took a look at my scrolling gallery and it seems fine. I haven't listed anything yet today. I had a lot to ship and it takes forever with a broken arm. Then of course, I had to have a nap. Now I read the forums while eating and then back to listing and taking pictures which is also slow with a broken arm. Then....another nap. Smile
Hi booklady, well that sounds good to me but as I said accessing your active listings through your Auctiva store front probably does not rely on the indexing which is for eBay's search engines to use.

You probably have regular customers and browsers who have book marked your Auctiva store because they find it the best way to shop on eBay. They can then go straight to it and then to goodies of interest, and with buy it now they get the jump on the less savvy buyers.

Another plus point for an Auctiva store front Cool
