Hi there,
I pasted the exact code that I got from your Store Window HTML section onto my MySpace page and it does not work. The store window itself says I need an update dversion of Flash (?) and there is also lots of randow code that is visible above and below the store window strip.
Any ideas for me?

Thanks.

Just my $.02, but social interaction websites come and go. I'd prefer that Auctiva spend it's resources improving its core product, rather than focus on niche projects for websites that may not even be there tomorrow...

I could be wrong, though - I just don't think there are many people here that are interested in advertising on MySpace.
I think that any advantage in helping generate traffic to someones website is how predominately Auctiva would gain more resources to be able to improve the core product. The very first thing that should be happening is code being written to work with MySpace, HisSpace, TheirSpace or whatever proven world community wesite or blogging area that is asked for by Auctiva's Members. Bottom line is anything that will attract more business for Auctiva sellers will generate more revenue for everyone and make Auctiva more valuable and more suited and financially able to make the improvements that are needed in the future to compete with a ever changing auction and selling world. By the way how much resources would it take to right a code that would work on these blogging sites? I dont have a clue, but I imagine it wouldnt take someone that knew what they were doing much longer than it took me to reply to this message.
ahh, but don't forget the associated technical issues with helping someone to implement that code, as well. Nothing works right on the first try.

I agree with you to some extent, Michael, but Auctiva has plenty to fix with the current product without the complications of attempting to expand into new areas.

I'm quite sure that Auctiva has the technical know-how to implement all manner of improvements, up to and including expanding its reach to MySpace and other popular websites. I'm also sure that they are not ruling out such features for future versions of Auctiva. Until then, though, their primary function is that of "eBay Listing Tool", and until they get that aspect of their business near perfect....

Hey man I finally got to an internet connection and thought id respond and in no way is this to be taken the wrong way. Myspace is in my opinion, not just another social networking site, It is a multibillion dollar generating business and it hold 150 Million + registered users. I dont see this going anywhere that fast. My only suggestion is that i could see this being an issue with any random social networking site spurring up because of myspace but myspace is a clear dominator on all aspects. It would only HELP auctiva generate more users, more traffic for either your potential sale, or your advertising dollars your looking to generate. My friend writes scripts for a living and like the person below me said, it probably isnt as hard as it was written out to seem. Its just a matter of whether you guys care or not, but i can tell you right now, i make and i say this with confidence 90% of my Ebay sales OFF OF MYSPACE. I post the html of the images and links and my sales come from users on myspace. I just thought, because i love the Auctiva interface it would be amazing for the rotating market front to be on my myspace generating even MORE people to you, to ebay, to me and to sales. Just a thought

I can totally understand having to take away time to deal with individual people who are not savvy. It drives me nuts when i have to teach my friends common sense stuff as well but maybe thats something a simple FAQ could handle?

Hey Danny. Don't worry, I don't take any offense to honest opinions being expressed, nor do I hope you take any offense to mine.

If Auctiva feel that supporting such features (i.e. posting store windows on MySpace) will help the Auctiva community as a whole, then they may just consider something like that in the future. It's my opinion that it would be sort of a niche thing that most people wouldn't need. I could of course be wrong, though!

BTW, if anyone feels that this is a feature that Auctiva should think about implementing, feel free to make a post in the "Suggestions" forum, as that is where it will get the most views from the Auctiva people Smile
