I use Auctiva for all my eBay listing but recently I have also been listing things on eBid as the fees there are much cheaper than at eBay. There are a lot of x-ebay sellers there and some like me that sell on both venues.

Auctiva would make a great addition to eBid and I am sure that a lot of people there would use it. Currently the only way to list there is using the sites listing creator or using their bulk uploader.

Has expanding to other venues been thought about??

Thanks

What I hear from the forum on eBay, alot of sellers will be moving their auctions and stores over to Amazon. So I think in the near future, most people will be on Amazon instead of eBay. After the holiday, I think more people will be going over to eBay. I will be on both and that would be great if Auctiva would support both eBay and Amazon.
I am in the UK and have been looking at listing on further sites but the 2nd biggest problem is the lack of a toolset like Auctiva's for eBay for listing generation and particularly bulk uploading.

I would love to be able to use these tools to upload to Tazbar.

Oh yes the 1st main problem for most other on line auction sites here is that although they may have a fair amount of listings active the sales rate appear very low. perhaps with Auctiva tools in support it may change.

P.S. I am in now way connected with Tazbar, but they do appear to be an interesting, fresh and rather more active site despite their newcomer status.
Choo Choo Guy you might want to take a look at eBid they has some interesting options and also a bulk uploader. You can create your own templates there and the use of html is permited.
http://www.ebid.net sellers can have up to 5 stores for free.

The fees are very low or not existant depending on the options you choose.

Go there and check it out and be sure to visit the forums, good bunch of friendly helpful people there.
Hi Parts_and_Things, thanks for the suggestion I have had a browse on what eBid has to offer but it generally seems that the sale rates are very low like most of eBay's, ermm competitors ?

Insertion fee rates are very much attuned to how popular a site is. Most of my wares are unique albeit just condition so tying up stock on a slow selling site requiring another format is a bit of a problem. I do not think it is right to advertise the same unique item on two sites simultaneously as some eBayers appear to do.

However listing them only on another site in a BIN type format may still be a more cost effective option than an eBay store.

If most of my wares were new and available in volume then it would only be as stock control exercise to make sure all venues are supplied.

What sort of items and success have you had ?
I look at it like this selling on ebay is like having a store in the mall where there is all kinds of foot traffic walking by. Having a store on one of the other sites is more like having a store in a local strip center. There is a little foot traffic but you have to do more to get people to stop by.

I have been on ebid since Aug 07 and have sold a few things. I use to have a store on my own web site for 8 months and sales were scarce. I started putting the inventory on ebid and I have made several sales. I still sell on ebay but mainly use that to drive traffic to my ebid store. I was getting some sales until the upload to Google Products got broken, fixed now so hopefully it will pick up again.

I am also looking at ecrater which is not an auction site but a marketplace. Everything is a fixed price, which works well for me. You get a sub domain so you can drive traffic directly to your store. There is no html in the listings so the site has a clean look. According to Power Users Unite it ranks number 3 or 4. They also summit your items to Google Products as long as you are not a drop shipper store.

There is also Blujay which again is a nice site but not as big as ecrater. Both are free to list and sell so it doesn't cost anything to park items there. BJ also uploads to GP.

I found the forums on all three sites to be very helpful.

Good Luck
Allen
