I'm waiting to hear from support about this, but thought I'd post here as well.

Today I posted my first 2 Auctiva auctions. First I got an API error and Ebay required me to give them my credit card before they would let me do it. I've sold on Ebay before and don't know what that was about.

After I got that cleared up, both auctions posted correctly on Ebay. What happened on Auctiva is only one of the auctions shows on my Active list.

I am left wondering why this happened? Will the auctions go through checkout okay if my things sell? Is Auctiva going to record my sales in the sales records?

I guess maybe we will just have to wait and see....

updating:

Next morning both auctions are showing in my Active listing. Also, both acutions are showing in the store window. Support reported that when they checked my account, they saw everything as it should be. I don't know what happened on this end last night, but if anyone else has this problem, I suggest maybe rebooting your computer and looking again before going to support.

I also learned today about rating and closing support threads. There is so much to learn here, but your service is very valuable and I am enjoying your site immensely. Thanks to all working here.

Yes. First I did not use a link to log into my Ebay account other than my own private link. Second, I highly recommend the use of virtual credit card numbers. Third, how is it much differend to give them my credit card number rather than my PayPal address?

Why, if I want to use their service to list my acutions, should I not give them my credit card number to pay the fees?

What I don't understand is why it was not enough to just give them my PayPal info. They have billed that account in the past to get their fee payments.

They shouldn't ask you for your paypal password. The address, yes but not the password. eBay OR paypal will NEVER ask you to give out your password in an email.

Where on earth did you get the idea that they asked me for a password to anything?

I got an API error (not an email) when I tried to post auctions using Auctiva. The API said that Ebay required me to file my credit card number in my profile in my Ebay account. They wanted my credit card number to charge my auction fees. After I entered my credit card number in my Ebay profile I was able to post my 2 auctions with no further delay. In the past I have just paid these fees using PayPal.
