Just wondering how to list lot of books. My listings will not post, because shipping is over amount alloxwed for 1 book. I checked area that says individual or lots (LOTS) and then listed number of books in lot, but when I go to post, it says, maximum shipping is $4.00, which is only true of one book. Any help please ?

Hi randygoo,

The reason you are receiving this error message is because eBay recently made a policy change that required media listings to offer at least one domestic shipping option that does not exceed $4.00. You can read more about this new policy on the following page: http://pages.ebay.com/sell/august2008update/maxshipping/

Based on the information available there, it sounds like the recommended solution for listings books that are extraordinarily large or lots of books is to use the calculated shipping option to charge the actual shipping costs based on the weight and size of the lot.

You can list a lot under regular book categories. Fill in number of items in lot. You are still limited to the $4.00 unless you use claculated shipping. Either add a tad to the weight or fill in the handling charge in order to cover delivery confirmation and packaging.

I never used calculated until these new rules but it is easy.
