Is there a way to automatically watermark all images with the default - or does it need to be done manually each time I upload a group of photos.

I see no-one has responded to your question - have you tried filing a support request to Auctiva? Click on the help button at the top right of the screen, scroll down the right-hand side and there is a link in the customer support box. They are very helpful and you usually get a speedy answer.

I filed a support request and got this reply, so the answer is no

Watermarking on images cannot be done automatically. You'll have to manually watermark the images.
