WHA IS THE NAME OF THE "COOKIE" AUCTIVA SENDS TO COMPUTER

Are you by any chance using a Mac computer ?

Yes I am running an emac OS 10.4.4 I also just noticed that in my saved listing all of my description is completely in code even though I am not in text editor. Right now I am on Virtual PC because I can not even post with the mac...:-( Any ideas? Oh , and I deleted all the applets and reaccepted them...did nothing...boo hoo

I don't think it's anything your doing wrong. It seems that some Mac users have some problems with auctiva software.

Check out the other forums on here. I found this post all about mac users and the problems they have been facing with their MAC's and Auctiva. They offer advice and help for each other.

thanks for you post:-) yes I have seen those posts and I have several detailing what has been happening to me. The weird thing is...I have posted 200 auctions using Auctiva. And now that I have upgraded to 10.4.4 I can't anymore. I am pretty sure it is a java confilct I am having somewhere...perhapa it is a terminal issue. But I am not "good" enough to mess with my terminal settings;-9 Are you have mac problems?

No I don't use a Mac. I have windows xp with IE6 and other than the new editor they introduced 2 weeks ago it works fine most of the time with auctiva software.

It might be the new editor that is causing the problem ? Have you written into the help desk ?

Hi Daniella,

Auctiva replaced the editor that is used in several areas of the auctiva site. The description editor under listings is the one I am having most problems with, and others are to.

They upgraded it about 1 month ago to a third party software WYSIWYG editor. It is called the FCKeditor.

I posted on here a few weeks ago with a link to the web site of this 3rd party editor to help Mac users. The link to the fckeditor is below.

It might not be the editor causing your problems, but it is worth a shot to read what others are doing to correct the issues they are having. Most of the problems seem to be with AOL users.
