I opened a Support Case yesterday for the problem. Support suggests the problem is Sellathon. My Counters appear and disappear periodically. When they are present, the number is wrong, as it won't update when missing. I had one show two hits, when it actually had been accessed by me more than 10 times during the outage period to do checks for images and other problems (including the counter). Counters aren't worth much if they don't COUNT. I made the suggestion Auctiva allow selection of Sellathon or Ebay counter on Listing Editor for future change.

It's frustrating. I have a whole new line of products that I listed recently and no way to know if anyone is even looking at them. I suppose I could revise all of the listings in ebay to use the ebay counter. That would stink because it would be extremely time consuming!
It would be nice to have an option to use ebay counters. But then, I've also seen a lot of posts on the ebay boards saying that the ebay counters are way off. At least we would have our delusion that there are customers. Big Grin
Hello Everyone, I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one experiencing this delemma. As others have said, I'm experencing erratic periods of either having counters, or not having counters, or having de-activated counters. I see that there has currently been no response from Auctiva on this situation. I, too, would like to see eBay's counter being offered as a counter option in Auctiva's listing format.
I never liked the sellathon counters in the first place. Erratic at best, never updated on my auctiva current auctions list, unless I clicked the actual auction and looked at the counter itself. Sometimes I had to click the counter to get it to load, since it was usually the last item loading on the page anyway. I can see how someone might want to have signed up with sellathon for auction stats and auctiva gets a financial kickback which is fair by the way. But what would you need a lot of stats for if your sales are not blooming anyway. Just another overhead cost to doing expensive business on ebay.

Which reminds me, I wonder when ebay is going to cut our costs of launching auctions and doing other forms of business with them?
