It is my understanding that it is a requirement for these attributes to be contained in the listing in order for eBay listings to appear in Google.

Where do we enter this information? If I am missing it let me know. I just do not see that the format allows for entering this info & it is essential to ebay listings as well as other venues.

Please advise.
Thanks for any help or Auctiva please consider adding this to an update in the near future.

Thanks

Hi LifeIsLike,

Thanks for posting your question here. We are aware that eBay has recently added "UPC" and "MPN" fields for certain categories and, while we have not been able to update our system to support those fields yet, we do plan on making those fields available through Auctiva with a future site update.

I am not sure when we will be able to add support for those fields at this time but, if you would like to be notified when we do, please contact our customer support team by mousing over the "Help" tab and selecting the "File Support Case" option and we will be happy to do that for you.

Auctiva, once again, an ebay update that we are losing sales over. This is costing us $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Please spend resources/time/money working to keep up with ebay rather than re-inventing the wheel with the saved listing page and other changes that do NOTHING to help our sales or listing.

Yes, there are go arounds.. but honestly, it has reached point that there are soooo many go arouds for doing things it is hard to remember them all. Plus, go arounds are NOT FIXES!! And they cost us time and since time is $$$$ in this business cost us money.

This has a "DIRECT" impact on our sales here at holidays and every day!! I think we deserve to know when this is coming, as going to ebay and redoing, putting in other areas are GO AROUNDS NOT fixes.

Please save us some time and post on here rather than everyone writing support. Seems so much more logical since my old support requests rarely get responded to unless Mike gets involved. If he gets it is IS answered always!!

Thanks
Hi lookandbuyme,

Thanks for checking back in with us about this. I still cannot make any promises with respect to when we will be able to add support for this field yet, but I believe there is a pretty good chance at this point that we will be able to do so as part of our next site update which will take place around the middle of January.

I have started to attempt to list new things in several categories.

I am finding that NONE of the items I am attempting to list has the UPC updated in auctiva but ebay does offer them.

Auctiva, can you tell us what categories you DO have this done UPC Code in at the present time. I am finding that playing Where's Waldo to find one that Auctiva supports to be a time consumer.

Auctiva, please tell me what you have it in I will pull those items and start listing those first but obviously need to get on with the getting on and do not want to play hide and seek. I also do not want to hold off until Mid January in the event this does not happen at then or is postponed or that it happens but there are kinks in it.

Thanks for your prompt response of categories you DO support now so I can start there.

This discussion has been going on since November 25, 2011 and was told by auctiva issue was fixed. As mentioned other post on this subject where auctiva rep said this was resolved. I noted on February 6th, this did not seem to be fixed or updated and that post has not been addressed. This is weeks after posted and relisting without this information is absurd. It is hard to remember month after month which listings have to be fixed, the going into each one to see if auctiva has added it yet is a time consumer. If auctiva had notes section this may be a bit easier to track, but this many months later we should not be having to go through this monthly.

Please advise status of the UPC updates.
Thanks

Hi lookandbuyme,

We actually added the ability to enter UPC codes when listing through Auctiva as part of the our site update which took place back on 1/11/2012 which Rebecca linked to the details of above. As a result, you should now see a “Catalog Type” drop down menu just below the “Custom Item Specifics” link on the lister page which can be used to enter this information.

If you are encountering any difficulties when attempting to use this option, please file a support case by mousing over the “Help” tab within your account and selecting the “File Support Case” option.

Have you gone into the category I mentioned and checked it??? I truly must be blind what I see is cut/paste below. Am I missing something? IF I am missing it please be specific as sometimes I can't see the forest for the trees. Will write support when I get back, but wrote Feb 10th, 2012 and got responses that was fixed and had no reason to think it was not. Of course, listings just now coming back up to be relisted and auctiva closed support case. I would have had no reason to check until now since listing are just ready to renew again and I assumed since your people said it had been fixed it was.

How do you reactivate a support case???

Hi lookandbuyme,

Thanks for the clarification. I did not realize which category you were referring to when I replied to your message but, after reading the similar post you made in the Everything Else section of our forum, I was able to track down your support case and figure out what you are referring to.

As it stands now, our system will not show the “Catalog Type” option for categories that offer the ability to link your listings to products in eBay's catalog using the “Find Product” option, but that should only be a problem for items that cannot be found in eBay's catalog.

If you use the “Find Product” option when listing in this category to associate your listing with an item in eBay's product catalog, the UPC code of the product will be submitted to eBay along with the rest of the catalog information and will be on file for the listing.

That being said, it does appear that the current setup will prevent sellers from entering UPC codes when listing items in these categories which cannot be found in eBay's catalog using the “Find Product” link so I will bring this up with our development team and we will look into coming up with a solution.

As I mentioned in my response to your other post, I will reopen the previous support case that you filed about this issue and keep you posted as additional information becomes available. It is not possible for a user to reopen a support case that has been closed, so you just would have had to file a new one to raise this issue again.
